Humans are not animals. In humans vs animals, is there something IRREVOCABLY in the dog that’s a dog vs is there something that’s IRREVOCABLY human in the human? Yes. They could never be from the same limited source. For example, no animal can grasp the idea of God. No animal can grasp the concept of the worship of God. NO ANIMAL can split the atom or build a space shuttle w/ 250k moving parts & walk on the moon. Only humans can get schizophrenia. We PURPOSELY cook w/ fire, while animals are scared of fire. Animals have no cognitive grasp of sending their daughter to college or producing technology & explaining it to paying students! Name an animal that can do ANY of these INTELLIGENTLY DYNAMIC things? THESE FACTS ONLY SCRATCH THE SURFACE TO PROVE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HUMANS AND ANIMALS. Humans clearly are not animals. I rest my irrefutable case.

And to prove it, give me your RATIONAL/POSSIBLE, step-by-step godless explanation for reality. I'm here to point out that you don't have one. You're such a shallow-thinker that you've not discovered that fact. All atheists are shallow-thinking fools that are totally lost & clueless regarding reality. You're making a "claim" by tagging yourself an "atheist." Making any claim is a statement of authority. G0D says he has ultimate authority over your life. You're saying you have the authority over your life. THAT is a claim in itself. You believe in WHATEVER EVIDENCE in your mind that there is no G0D. THAT is your FAITH/BELIEF. No "lack" there, pal.

LOL! The foolish atheists desperately try to debunk the fine-tuning facts of the earth, by saying “imagine the water in the mud puddle saying “look, this hole was made perfect for me! And that’s how weak the fine-tuning argument is for creationists.” The puddle argument doesn't work, because you have ONE THING (the hole) supposedly fine-tuned to the water inside it. It's an asinine way of describing the hugely more complex fine-tuning of the earth that proves G0D by the NOT ONE, but 25-40+ different entities that MUST BE DESIGNED BY G0D A CERTAIN WAY OF CO-DEPENDANCE for life to survive. Gee, a mud-puddle fitting water explains around radically engineered, specifically ordered and integrated beings with layers of subsystems working towards third purposes of intelligence, vision, information processing, consciousness.. Try to learn.

The thing is that life is NOT actually unlikely in terms of probabilities. It's a very likely outcome given the right conditions which certainly existed on earth over 3.5 billion years ago. There are only limited number of ways that atoms can combine with each other and remain stable, so get a planet load of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen, and Carbon atoms, shake it all up, move it all around, throw in zillions of lightning bolts, and the chances of forming NH2CH2COOH is more likely than less likely given half a billion years.

The "Drake equation" and similar equations regarding the sheer magnitude of the universe makes not just life but intelligent life a certitude.
@JFrazer4303
@JFrazer4303 5 ай бұрын
OTOH, it's totally unproven, and the lack of structure or order everywhere around us strongly indicates that life and then tool-use is far more rare than we think or would like to think. See also panspermia. Look for the article on "comet swapping" by Dr Robert Zubrin, about meteoritic samples of planets being shared around the galaxy. The Solar system has been around the galaxy 20+ times since life started here, and the earliest life was selected by history of bombardment to survive being blown off the planet and surviving dormant for at least millions of years until it finds water. If the cloud of stuff the Solar system formed from wasn't already seeded with such stuff, the galaxy is now, from here. There's no reason to think that life first started on this particular mudball, rather than being seeded from out there. This just kicks the question of how life first started ahead of us, but it's a very strange and possibly important quirk to throw into the question.
@nonfiction876
@nonfiction876 5 ай бұрын
Incorrect. The Drake equation and other similar equations are extremely conjectural, as stated by Drake himself. To calculate the probability you need some measurement of the likelihood of life happening. It is irrelevant that the potential sample size is massive, because the likelihood of life occurring may be even smaller. You are basically saying "There is so many people playing the lottery, surely someone HAS to win"... Well no, not if the probability of winning is much smaller than the sample size. This is highschool statistics and probability. I dont know why so many get this wrong over and over.

There are uncontacted tribes who, from their point of view, think they are special because they are the only humans. Yes, and being out on a spiral arm of the galaxy, we're very much more isolated than solar systems positioned nearer to the galactic center. We're barely able to visit neighboring planets in the same solar system. But we can do it. If, where density is greater than here, there were several small solar systems in Lagrangian stations orbiting around some larger mass, the total system might have enough orbital stability to produce life on several of its planets. And if that life evolved over billions of years to develop space travel to the degree that we have, there's a possibility of that system experiencing interplanetary colonization or warfare or civilization. Over millions of years, that would make quite an epic story, if they could settle down to peaceful coexistence rather than annihilating each other. It could be an unimaginably grand achievement. But that still wouldn't overcome the speed of light.

My God is The Flying Spaghetti Monster (FSM), the holy deity of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or Pastafarianism. A Pastafarian prophet of the Venganza forums known as Solipsy received divine guidance and wrote The Loose Canon, the Holy Book of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The book was completed in 2010 and was made available for download. Our gospel urges readers to try Rastafarianism for thirty days, saying, "If you don't like us, your stupid old religion will most likely take you back". Some excerpts from The Loose Canon include: "I am the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Thou shalt have no other monsters before Me (Afterwards is OK; just use protection). The only Monster who deserves capitalization is Me! Other monsters are false monsters, undeserving of capitalization". -  Suggestions 1:1-5 "If you have done a half-ass job, you will receive half an ass! The Great Soloman will grab his scimitar and strike a donkey, cleaving it in two" - Slackers 1:51-52 The New Testament of the FSM: Dinner 2.0 (also known as the New and Improved Recipe) was published in 2018. It became the Holy Book of The Unitarian Church of Pasta and The FSM Revival Church of Ziti. Some excerpts from The New Testament of The Flying Spaghetti Monster include: "We need never doubt our Divine Carbohydrate, for even our DNA is shaped like a noodle so we know that pasta is holy" - Book One: The Holy Book of Lasagna. And I have faith in the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Every word in his Gospels were written by him and are true. The Flying Spaghetti Monster commands us to go onto every internet site comment section, no matter what the subject, and spread the word of him. And, as with the Christian Biblical God, you are not permitted to ever question it. Ever! That is very offensive to us Pastafarians.

I recently did a presentation to a local science group entitled “Why are we here? - ten accidents of nature without which we wouldn’t exist”. Each one of those accidents is incredibly unlikely and for ten of them to happen by chance is scarcely believable at all. But, in a Universe so large and so old, even the most improbable things can and will happen somewhere. We may be the only place where it has happened, in which case we are exceptionally special. I feel that we’re not using that gift very responsibly.

The preacher's argument is one we've heard many times. It's telling how small his concept of the universe is because he made reference to how we're the only planet with life for "millions of miles." Even if you take that to the furthest you can extend "millions" and say "999,999,999 miles" that's still an insanely small sample size in a universe that's billions of light years across or bigger. I don't remember who made this analogy, but it's like scooping a glass of water from the ocean and saying "I don't see any sharks in here, so there must not be any sharks in the ocean."

STOP the stupidity. Atheism is a religion. A religion of “SELF.” Instead of properly worshipping God and putting him first in your life; YOU PUT YOURSELF FIRST. EVERYBODY HAS A FAITH. It’s just that your faith is stupid. Atheism tenets (e.g. big bang, abiogenesis, mistakes (mutations) gaining in complexity/new information, star formation, evolution) I debunk w/ ease. Any belief re the cause of this universe is a religion and you've tagged yourself an "atheist" because you believe atheist ideas re the cause of this universe (nature: time/space/matter/energy. You also believe that evolution is the "controlling power" over life, instead of God. THAT is religion. Either you have a RATIONAL POSSIBLE world view or you don't. To be an atheist and have no factual basis for your cult, is to be content to be even more lost and clueless than yesterday. Why do you cling so desperately to an asinine atheist cult that's INFAMOUS the world over for having ZERO ANSWERS? Could you be more lost and clueless? Einstein called atheism "a religion formed to reject other religions. How cute and desperate they are." Various species of whales and dolphins do this as well as some birds if I'm not mistaken. I marvel at these animals and feel privileged to witness evolution in motion first hand! 😮❤😮❤😮❤
