@@The_thing-z9v no its not, the grilled squirrel gave him the well fed buff, and he ate it on a different frame than when king slime spawned, and the cooldown for the king slime spawner is higher (hence why you hold the spawner up for about a second when you use it)

The only biome they don’t give you a pylon in is the Snow biome funnily enough, since the arms dealer doesn’t like it. It’s practically impossible to get that pylon

King Slime has a very small chance to spawn randomly when you're at the outer edges of the world, similarly to the Goblin Scout. It used to be a pretty well-known method to summon him by running around the Ocean holding a Water Candle.

King slime spawning is a pretty rare occurance. I had it the last playthrough I played and apparently, according to the wiki, king slime can spawn randomly in the outer sixth of the map if the player is in a grasslands. This makes it incredibly rare as you need a grasslands at the edge of the map.

Huge tip if you really wanna take the game as slow as possible, don’t break an alter in hardmode. That triggers the pirate invasions. Instead, you should try to fish for all ores

2:00 Torch god is pretty difficult. I usually do Torch god after I am done with everything pre hard mode and am ready to fight WoF. But still its pretty hard... Also you didnt had to wait for a goblin army to spawn naturally. I usually just make the summon item and summon it right away.... lol

to fix your tundra pylon problems: put the Arm's Dealer and Nurse together and the tundra pylon should be sold also King Slime can spawn on the outer side's of a terraria world so the grilled squirrel did nothing but still insane timing

Nurse and Gunslinger for ANY pylon, then just move npcs around until you have a full system. Can even have slimes/dogs/cats take the place of a normal npc, ALSO king slime has a random chance to spawn in the outer sixths of each side of the world when on Grass.

That intros you have just said, getting stuff equipments and full HP is really spot on my man. Early game is indeed the suckiest part of all HC terraria runs i ever made because most of times i: Die to a trap. Die to an enemy the like of sand worms or antlion. Or Die to an event like Goblin Army and Bloodmoon. God helps you if the first night was a bloodmoon or next day is slime rain. But once we get rolling and getting stuff like slime mount and shield, going into Skeletron and even WoF is a cinch - except that we need to spend several minutes to make the arena for the wall. And the rest is just a repeat with a heavier emphasis of dying to a creature and events (Pirate, HM Goblin, and HM Bloodmoon) more often than trap in Hardmode. Edit: Oh also god help you too if the first day of HM hits is a pirate events just as you went out of the underworld post wall. Thats why epic mega base is a must in pre HM for all these kind of nonsense.

Personally, I like to not break any shadow orbs/ crimson hearts in my world and only use battle standard to summon the goblin army so I never get caught at a bad moment having to fight an army. This also prevents pirate invasions which can be an ended to a hardcore run if you get unlucky.

Since you have so much time in between phases so I hope you try n explore more of the shimmer. NPCs get new design after being submerged in shimmer so that might be a fun start. Also, it's possible to make walls that allow spawn using walls dunked in shimmer, most notable one is shimmered walls made from dungeon brick. Just place shimmered walls on the edge of the screen and on the place you'll be standing on. You now have dungeon spawn outside the dungeon

In the snow biome, you can make houses right beneath the surface and make goblin tinkerer and dye trader to move in to make the goblin as happy as possible (in pre-Skeletron). It will also make the mechanic happier once she moves in

So for every biome except snow you can use arms dealer and the nurse. For snow you can make a temporary underground snow setup and use goblin and mechanic then relocate the snow pylon to an above ground town

You should put the Goblin tinkerer underground/cavern/underworld as those are the only biomes he likes, after defeating skeletron put the mechanic with him and also put the dye trader with him, and that should give you the best possible prices for the goblin tinkerer. if you want cheap prices for the mechanic then move the mechanic and goblin tinkerer (and cyborg if you have him) in to the snow biome and that should be the cheapest prices for her

Hmm, I don't get why people still try to buy from any NPCs (other than travelers) right after finding them; nowadays, they have Happiness modifier debuffs if they don't have a home established, especially if in a biome they dislike. Sure the Tinkerer likes underground, but I'm pretty sure his prices are still high until he gets into a home, right? Correct me if I'm wrong, of course. But in some other cases (like the electrician) it's especially bad cuz the depths of the castle have her traumatized, thus her prices are way up until she's outta there, IIRC. (But yeah, avoiding overcrowding the homes & getting the Tinkerer into an underground/cavern abode brings his prices down nicely.)

Why dont you try out fishing in honey? The "honey fin" is the best pre hardmode healing item, it restores 120 hp while regular healing potions only restore 100 hp.

- Yeah, every buggy thing that happens with zapinator is intended. In some cases, the 'glitches' that trigger, can even stack up to actually shoot the enemies from the other side of the screen. So a glitch-chain of: spawn new bolt, enemy ricochet, slow bolt, ricochet, fast fast bolt, ricochet, HEAVY knockback (in a matter of frames)... can not only knock an enemy back into you, but can do it from clear across the screen if you're not careful. - Don't worry. You're not going as crazy as you think you are. If you're on the outer ends of the world, King Slime can totally spawn in. If you are far enough out to see goblin scouts, you're far enough out for him to spawn on in. It's rare, but if you play the Undeluxe version (early Terraria) that was the only way to spawn him in once upon a time.
