The song is titled 'PIRI', which is Korean for Pipe or Pipa. Generally, this song is dominated by a smooth flute sound, accompanied by a trap beat and of course Dreamcatcher rock music. The lyrics themselves tell of a person who wakes up from a dream, and finds his life is still bad.

As far as I know, Piri is about the girls being haunted by their fears and Yoohyeon (the one who found the shell) is the one that saved them which explains them all being together in the last. Whistles are usually used as an SOS sound to ask for help and then saying "blow the Piri" means to blow the whistle and to ask for help. They aren't saved from their nightmare here tho. They are still stuck together.

btw! in korean, if S is next to an ''i'', the S is pronounced like the S in the word ''Sugar'' so in that case Siyeon's name would be pronounced as ''Shi-yeon''

They definitely deserve a lot more recognition for all they do for kpop. Theres not a large k-rock/k-metal scene which is a shame because korean would be amazing over a hard-hitting beat. So I'm ever so grateful to DC for just existing and building a 'bridge' for people who are not familiar or dont really enjoy heavier music. I often call DC "diet-rock" because most of their discography is still on the softer/lighter compared to the standard sound of rock and hard rock, which is completely fine bc they're still kpop. But DC are still my favorite female group of all time besides Band-maid and I love them to death. Nowhere else do you see 7 goddesses perfectly executing difficult choreography over hard-hitting bangers.

Hii, you kinda go from newest Mv to latest which is fine I guess, but there is a storyline so you‘ll probably won‘t get all the references but even Somnies struggle with the symbolics 😅 The first storyline was their nightmare arc: -chase me (debut) -Good night -Fly high (prequel, so technically the first in the storyline) - You and I -What -piri -Breaking out (japanese, some people say it‘s an alternative ending to Piri) -Deja Vu has a storyline on it‘s own since it was a collab with the mobile game Kings raid :> The same with Rose Blue, only with another game Scream and Boca are part of an ongoing triology Also their dance practices are worth to check out as well :D

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah finally!! I'm a huge ARMY and InSomnia so sometimes I'm a bit sad that you put sooooooooo much time between Dreamcatcher reactions while... It's fine as you don't forget in the end and are starting to be a fan wondering why there aren't that many views... And you should definitely check their dance practices as you like symmetry. Anyway thanks for the reaction and looking forward to the next one!! And there is no other girl group like Dreamcatcher who mix pop, rock, rap, dance in the whole music industry. In Kpop, there were some groups who had a few songs with some rock vibe but they never sticked with this sound and went back to a more pop/bubbly sound in the end because rock is not that popular in South Korea (starting to be better though). You know I would describe this more as having metal influences than rock, their stuff is often heavier than just rock. Of course theres multiple genres in rock as well as in metal, but in my opinion as someone who does listen metal and also from what some metal head reactors/musicians have said too^^

hey sammy! thanks so much for reacting to more dreamcatcher, they are seriously awesome and my fave group!! looking forward to more dreamcatcher and seventeen reactions when you get round to them. I would recommend you listen to "what" by dreamcatcher as i believe its their heaviest sounding song, and would be interesting to see if you enjoy it :) they also have a song called "cant get you out of my mind" from their newest mini album, and the song is in english! For other groups with interesting groups with rock sounds, i would recommend Babymetal. They are a Japanese metal/rock group, with pop sounding vocals over the top, and they are really awesome. I didn't think i'd enjoy them as i wasn't sure about metal, i generally like metal instrumentals but not the harsh vocals you find in a lot of metal music, Babymetal has the cool instrumentals with gorgeous vocals :) if you get round to checking them out, "karate" and "starlight" are two of their best ones, and they have a new song with Bring me the horizon, "kingslayer" (which fucking slaps imo). as for now, Dc is the only girl group who has this kind of genre for a girl group or i mean rock is their signature sound. there is some girl group that also tried rock but i only know two tho. The first one is Pink fantasy, listen to their song Fantasy it has a rock element on it. i'm not sure tho if rock is also their signature sound or just experimenting bc their new cb is not rock soooo... and the second one is Purple Kiss, this is a new girl group same with Mamamoo's company but they've only released a pre debut song titled My heart skip a beat. Also i suggest that you also react to their dance practices and bsides, it's so underrated. and u will not regret it hehe
