Some ideas could to add more detail is having storage or other small things inbetween the buildings as an alleyway type fo thing. A building you could add is townhall/commonhall. A large building where people would gather at.

Here is just an idea, all of your buildings are made from the same blocks. Your city would look much more interesting if you made buildings out of different blocks. Or even if you just changed out the roof blocks, I think it would make a huge difference. I think using the same blocks for each build contributes to that sameness feel you were talking about at the beginning of the video, so try changing them out

Your build style is never poo. You just got comfortable with it. Now onto the video. Edit: I thought you were going to switch up your block palette. I think that's the main reason a lot of you villages look the same. We have more wood types than spruce and more stone types that stone/stone brick. Maybe you should try to change up that as well as the shapes of your builds. That being said, I do like what you built. I always do.

For the spacing of your buildings, something I like to do when building cities is decide what kind of path will be going inbetween the buildings, and then assigning block values to these types, depending on what kind of city it actually is. For something kind of medieval looking like this, I'd probably do something like 3 block alley, 5-9 block side street, and 11-15-ish blocks of main street. Always comes down to trial and error to find the values that work well, but I found that coming up with that plan and sticking to it really makes the whole city fit together like a neat puzzle.

I don't entirely like hard-core players who build insane stuff in it. If you die, all your work is gone. All that time and effort never to be seen again. Which is why I think some more of these youtubers should go to the world file and change it from hard-core properties to base game so they can do way more insane things without the fear of losing it all holding them back. I watched a hc youtuber I forget his name, and he had the same idea as me. That he was held back by hard-cores properties and changed the worlds property to survival. Please change the property to save the anguish you'll experience when you lose it all
