I feel like Haisam joining b team and all this hype around him serves him no good. He wants to be part of cool kids club with Craig, Nicky and Nicky and compete against top level guys but reality is he's nowhere near top level neither technically nor mentally and all those recent loses must also greatly affect his confidence. It's not a shame to lose with someone like Mason but the issue is that apart from few sloppy jumping acrobatics he showed absolutely nothing in this match and it's also recurring theme that once he gives up dominant position match is basically over.

@@DeuceDropper927 absolutely agree on intentions, my concern is with opponents selection. But, Ali set the bar high for trash talking followed by Chael Sonnen and Connor. Nicky is not nearly as articulate nor as funny as these guys. Do jiu jitsu and leave the trash talking to those that have the capacity and natural skill. Also, Gordon Ryan is still many rungs higher than Nicky Rod when it comes to competition. Does Nicky (Ryan) even still want to compete? It always seems like he doesn't really want to be there, more like he's resigned to be there, same as in trials when he told Nick (the Rod) thay he couldn't wait to shower. Just seems kind of burnt out and maybe he regrets getting roped into the sport via Gordon and Danaher. Nicky also doesn't seem to treat the sport as "a professional" the way somebody like Dante Leon would probably describe it. Sure he trains twice or three times a day but just the fact that he was like "yeah maybe doing rehab for my knees would have been good" shows what I'm talking about. I think back in the Eddie Cummings / DDS days it might have been enough to "just" be a technical wizard but not anymore. I'm sure Nicky will make a fantastic coach but if he wants to win adcc or whatever the goal is he needs to change what he's doing. You, Craig, Gordon, literally everybody has been speaking about how he can't perform as well in competition for ages but seemingly not much has been done to change that.
