I quit a good job once and later on asked for it back. I honestly thought the owner would tell me to kick rocks and go away. He told me "it takes a lot to come back here hat in hand and ask for the job back" I did get the job back later on but I gained so much respect for that man to not use that chance to tell me to F off. I worked my ass off or that man after that to show my gratitude for how I was treated. Even after he sold the business he took care of me for a bit until I found a new job.

its analogous to present times, because young adults and children have more say than they should yet they don't know 1/4 of what they think they do. And even worse is people listening and willing to enact the ideas, many of which have been debunked for decades. But that doesn't deter the narrative and activism that actually gets bills passed it seems.

@@Sonny_McMacsson That's just narcissism bruh. And to a certain degree they are correct. But that level of entitlement doesnt come naturally, And I highly suspect it comes from this victim, do gooder narrative that helps nothing. @3xceIIent
@3xceIIent 10 ай бұрын
@@nwerd7584 There is certainly an ignorance of youth that makes young people think they know it all, but I can't say I see the same problem you do. In fact in the USA it seems we have the exact opposite problem to me. We are governed by very old people who hold onto power for great lengths of time and don't understand the problems of the modern times. They take forever to craft the laws we need and even when they catch up and try to address a problem they don't understand it enough for it to be effective. I can certainly get behind the idea that popular youth on social media have too much influence in the minds of other people, but they don't create the actual policies and laws that govern our country. Funnily enough after trending older and older every year (with the oldest congress members ever in this congress) we have also just elected some of the youngest congress members in history. Maybe it's starting to change. I think it would also be a mistake to think that young people don't have good ideas. I think some of the best ideas come from young people. Of course they sometimes don't have all the knowledge accumulated yet on how best to enact their ideas or what pitfalls and problems to avoid. So I think we need a much better balance of old and young governing the USA. Of course the problem is they have to actually work together to solve the problems not against each other.

@@nwerd7584 Not even about China. Most people in America don't even know 1/4 what they think they do about America. Supporting America is almost just as cringey today, considering they incite wars in other countries that ends up killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people, and fund Israel's genocide over Palestine. One might say, that's even cringier. It just feels so unnatural to think of US as the bad guys. But one could easily argue their the worst. In 15 years he will probably make another video about how cringey it is he thought so highly of America lol. ok obviously I'm using your comment to inject my own personal feelings into the convo, but at least I will admit it haha.
@JunkBondTrader
@JunkBondTrader 10 ай бұрын
@@3xceIIent I agree in generael with your comment. Older generations are much moe problematic than the youth regarding the biggest problems facing America. In fact, I think America will be a much better place in 20 years not to be grim.... Taking forever to craft laws is one of the more minor problems with USA's aged government. They're also war mongers and fund Israel's genocide of Palestine.. But I'd also say that despite this, most Americans refuse to believe that's the case, even though hundreds of thousands of innocent people have died in the Middle East and Iraq over the last 20 years because of America's meddling. So I agree older generations in America have faults, but would also fault the general public, including young people, middle aged, everyone... for turning a blind eye to America's atrocities.

To give some examples kind of adjacent to China... have you seen the kinds of Westerners who shill for Russia? Of course Jackson Hinkle is some dumb kid... but then you hear some of the same talking points he has from middle-aged Scott Ritter, from politicians like Tulsi Gabbard and Marjorie Taylor Green, from Elon Musk and from senior citizens like Noam Chomsky, Cornell West and Seymour Hirsch. We can at least hold our heads high knowing we outgrew it when so many others did not. And I don't see Jackson Hinkle outgrowing it... that Russian 'girlfriend' of his is probably his FSB handler and should he ever have a 'coming to Jesus moment', we can easily expect him to fall out of a window or drink that special Kremlin blend of tea.

A thought on that: it's reasonable for young and children to be trusting of people, but older individuals should have learned better, though learning or just bad experience. In relation with an identity logical fallacy where being something or having a quality imparts authority or esoteric knowledge that can't be known otherwise. And also thinking of that, there's an okay big list of fallices from a prof. of the English dept. of UTEP university. However, it tries heavily to politically compensate with it's examples to provide a "both sides" view which I think hurts the explanations and makes for poor titles/terms as-well, including accidental associations of other meanings/abuses -- likely in part from the sourcing. It also has the usual problems of poor explanations of why the fallacies qualify; ex. when every dichotomy is claimed to be a fallacy, when it's only a fallacy when it's not, but claimed to be rather then that there can't exist dichotomies ever -- context and scope matters. Along with that too, it also works and describes things more from types and tactics of manipulation and fraud/deceit rather then the faults in the logic or engaged in by oneself for intent of the former. For that, there'd be a few I'd disagree with, at least as written. It is a rather large and relevant list though. (It's titled "Logical Fallacies," but its more just the generic notion of fallacies as the description describes. And disclaims not having "academic rigor.")

Megalomaniacs ALWAYS demand some kind of illegal act to prove loyalty, so what did Winston do huh? And LOASER gaining the trust of a Commie government, same deal. What did HE do? These two cretins really need investigation and prosecution for thier past sins. I bet they are many.

All govts do this, especially to justify wars, starting them through completely fabricated events, such as in the Gulf of Tonkin incident (that wasn't an incident, for the Vietnam war, later proven out by FIA obtained documents and recordings of Johnson, just a mistake by a radar operator, known at the time it was falsely used to incite support), or "Mushroom clouds" about 30,000 times by Bush II and company to justify entry into Iraq. The first time in, to liberate Kuwait was 100% righteous, and conducted honorably IMHO (quitting at the point Bush one had previously said he would, the Kuwaiti/Iraqi border), but number two was utter BS, using aluminum tubes that can be used for about a million other things than centrifuges as 'proof' of Iraqi nuclear research toward a nuclear weapon. The real point on disinformation or withholding of information, is when and how often. With govts like Russia and China the answer is all the time, and every other statement. With ours, much less often, but still, the old joke that goes "When is a politician lying? When his mouth is moving" is not totally devoid of fact. There are times when politicians and the military SHOULD lie, or keep unknown facts hidden, when ACTUAL national security is at stake, like the allies in WWII, with the enigma code breakage, or Churchill with the invention and installation of radar (that one was much harder, because cities were being bombed and he couldn't respond to the attacks without revealing his hand, without giving away the fact that if the Nazis invaded full force, which was a definite possibility at the time, the Brits would have early warning, to get planes in the air to respond, rather than bombed on the ground. Those are NOT the times I'm talking about. I'm talking about intentional self serving lies. And I'm not guilty of it. I don't assume either way until I've looked into it, though I usually give the US the benefit of the doubt, just by statistical probability based on past data before doing that. I wouldn't argue those points without some research, though. And there we enter into a whole new sticky wicket. With the mass media like the New York Times talking about Israel bombing that hospital (they 80% did not, in my estimation, so far) and showing a completely different, unrelated building missing its entire front half, where the ACTUAL pics of the hospital show it mostly intact, and a small crater in the parking lot, where the JADAMS Israel is using drop entire, or entire sections of buildings, and would have left a crater 25' wide and 20' deep. The crater shown in that parking lot is about three feet wide and one foot deep, exactly like the other craters from the missiles HAMAS is using. I say 80% because for me to be 100%, I would want to see identifiable debris left by the rocket, which is usually available, and curiously lacking in this case. They didn't bother, like the Russians, because if most people just hear something enough times, with NOTHING backing the statements, they accept them as fact. I think the NYT and other such media that knowing put BS like that out should be collectively responsible for the damage, or at the very least be required to provide a FRONT PAGE retraction, in that case pointing out that the picture was NOT that hospital, and showing the actual pictures, making a new assessment on the statement from those, which would have almost certainly been different. There is virtually no accountability, and obviously little integrity, so that is what we get. And apparently we are fine with being led around by the short and curlies, many of us.
