My condition to have kids was that the mother stay at home and raise the kids. My offer, what I thought was the biggest sign of love and commitment a man can make was met with disgust, contempt and the word slave was even thrown in. I walked away and a similar thing happened 10 years later. She contacted me and is now a single mother complaining how difficult it is. Trying to keep a job while having a sickly child has taken its toll on her. To her credit, she did admit that she didn't realize how hard it is to raise a kid and now understands my thinking but didn't want to hear it at the time. Women started to be nice to me, I get smiled on e.g. at the grocery store, once I was walking with a friend and she said to me: "Do you realize all girls passing by are looking at you?".
