I just adopted a dog and I have a cat I got the dog on Saturday 11/9/2024 and my cat is scared I've cried on and off for the past 2 days the dog is very sweet and gentle and isn't trying to go after the cat in any aggressive way she is just a little to hyper for the cat , I don't know what to do , I love the dog but I love my cat too and I have had my cat for 2yrs now and she won't come out of the bathroom or the closet when the dog is out of the crate and she has tried coming in the leaving room where the dog is when the dog is in the crate but as soon as the dog start to wine or bark my cat gets scared and runs back to the closet and the bathroom which is connected to each other , I also live in a studio apartment, So if any advice on how to train the dog to be gentle with the cat and to Nott want to chase her please I'll take the advice and the dog is only trying to chase her in a playful way but it's in a too hyper way
