I love the 8-bit turn-based fight theme. Watching this disaster unfurl into eventual realization and then triumph was more entertaining than it should be. 10 out of 10.

I have never yelled at my computer more lol this was so much fun to play along with you!! So glad you miraculously got cynic in the end, very impressive!
@victorsixtythree2 жыл бұрын
The "CYNIC" puzzle drove me nuts, too. I knew there was a "Y" but it wasn't at the end of the word and I just could not think of any words with "Y" not at the end. When I eventually thought of "CYNIC" I felt just like you - with the Hallelujah Chorus and everything!
@andrewvanhorne43592 жыл бұрын
Here's a vocab tip: for more words with an internal y, try thinking of any Greek roots you know. I have no solid data to back this up on hand, but I'd guess that most words with this feature are from Greek. Pyre, gyroscope, myopia, cynic, cryonics, lyrics ... even Lord Byron - who was English, but he died in Greece :)

I enjoyed this video a lot. You basically talked out what all of us were thinking in our heads when we went to see what Wordle was. I thought it was an app at first, not a website. Kinda feels old school to go to a website to play a game. And the little RPG game theme worked well and your singing was pretty damn good.

I enjoyed this. Wordle often makes people feel dumb and the words tend to be common which only exaggerates that feeling. I tend to think of words with either four or more than six letters and it frustrates me so much.

I enjoyed that quite a bit. Longtime watcher, first time commenter. I have been doing wordle every day for a couple of weeks now. Sometimes you get lucky early on and things go well, other times you're skunked in the first one or two and then it's hard to recover. Anyway, good job, Nat!

This was so painful , yet So FARKIN FUNNY....lol...( so funny that i choked eating a piece of cake and ended up spraying my cup of coffee all over the place....) I hadn't watched your vids for a few days , but when i got another notification an seen the title " I'm Dumb ".... I thought i have to check it out and see what ya been up to..... Ok this reminded me of watching a old episodes of" Batman and Robin" with them discussing of what th,ey are going to do before a fight scene...then they get into it..... This vid was well edited with your Narration, the music , the sound effects and the prompts that pop up.... So is it " Tune in next time .......Same time ,.....Same ..Nat ...Channel.." P.S......I was only told about wordle a few weeks ago from one of my nurses ,,,She knew i'd like it so i do it most of the time when i remember it....I love it it helps stimulate my mind . Try using Audio as your 1st word.....( I think you will work out why ) Here's a subtle clue - look at the word and sing "one of these things......is not like thee others " from Sesame Street.. And the key is power of elimination.......look at the puzzle ....look at on-screen keyboard...... Good Luck Natty Nat Nat......( FYI....yeah you didn't look "grouse"......you looked good...the natural look.

Nat, I've seen the Wordle boxes on the Twitters for so long, knew it was a letter game and all but just never bothered to join in until I watched your video yesterday. My first day and I got the whole word on the second row. And today I somehow guessed the word of the day with the first word I typed out in the first row. (I just typed in the title of the song I was listening to at the moment) Now I'm completely hooked. What have you done?! Also, the editing is **Chef Kisses** magnifique! Matt is killing it!

Great content. I tend to go with a word that uses as many common letters as possible to start, then a couple guesses on limiting letters and finding positions, then it’s thinky time where I plug the remaining letters in place, one by one, and see what words they could make with the solved letters. Less time consuming than you’d think, after a few letters in place there are very few words that fit. Hope this helps
@hellomark12 жыл бұрын
You should definitely do another one of these :) for what it's worth, I usually start with TIRES and then CLOUD, which takes out a good chunk of the most common letters. I mean, depending on the hits I get with TIRES I don't always use the second word... but I've also made a random guess at like the 4th or 5th try just to eliminate the most common letters too, and it's paid off.

I loved the editing on this video! Brilliant! On the second word, I usually avoid trying words with repeating letters at first, like roots. Rough was a great guess, and is what I would've tried at that point. Roids was also a valid attempt, as it tried 3 new letters and gave you 1 new letter out of place. Usually what I do at that point is plug in an X into unknown letters so I can better visualize what the word may be. So, I would've typed ROXIX (and not hit Enter) and then play possibilities around in my head.
@silver9wolf62 жыл бұрын

A good strategy for guessing the word is to pick words that use the most common letters first, thereby likely telling you 3-5 letters in the solution. Then it's just guessing from the letters that turn green or yellow. I usually start with Arose, Lucid, and then Thank or Thyme, depending if I already know there's an A or E in the word. That eliminates or confirms all vowels, and R, S, T, H, L, C, D, along with either M, Y or N, K. Usually after that, I can get the answer in within the next two guesses. Keep at it!
@KlintDemetrio2 жыл бұрын
Heh wonderful video. heh yeah anxiety as one starts running out of guesses starts to build. Also way to go on the Robin one, the group I share/play with a lot of us - like myself- got Robin on the 6th try.. picking Ronin as are prior answer and alas incorrect one. : ) We were actually annoyed by it, but your mention about the game being invented in the UK answers that lingering ponder, as in Europe, Robin is more of common descriptor vs more like a proper noun like here in the U.S. (so as a fan and linguist, thanks for that :) )
