Scott but what would you rather be doing then what you are I grew up on a dairy farm we bailed small bales stacked by hand on the wagon and in the barn it was hard work but I miss it now that we sold the cows I would of loved to crop farm that would of been a dream not having to milk 365 days a year trust me you have a dream job most of us can only dream of and live through watching your videos

Just an amazing video! So many farm youtube channels are just people looking into the camera telling us what they are going to do or where they are going and none of the actual work or the equipment. I have no idea how they have sponsorships. The video quality, the story line and the actual work being done here is amazing. I seriously feel like I'm watching a movie ever single time I watch your videos. Thank you for all the hard work making these!

May you and your family continue to be abundantly blessed. "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." Luke 6-38 KJV. John here, photographing the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.

Thanks for another great video everyone!!! It was interesting and enjoyable for sure. Love your new grain auger setup. Appreciate your overview of the new auger. Has really nice upgrades and love those turntable wheels. That will help. Nice machine, glad you were able to get it. The accident with the new grain trailer got cleaned up right away. Thanks to Scott and the payloader for picking the peas up off the ground. Let us know who did that when you find out. Oh my. Looks like the new truck is running just fine. That is great. Combines are doing great. Your crop production is coming right along. So glad you are doing better this year. 👍!!!!!!!!! Bob I see Colby is enjoying the combine ride again as well as some of the grandkids!!!!!’ Nice to see that. Colby is surely a trusted co pilot. So glad to hear your crop production is good this year. Continuing with the prayers for you. You all take care and be safe. With my blessings. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. 😊😊👍🙏🙏💕💕🇺🇸🇺🇸

i left school at 14 and went to work and live on a farm. i still had to do my school work so had to come in off the fields for 3 hours a day and cram in as much as i could. anyway, we were a dairy farm so raised cows for milk and beef. people seem to take it for granted that the meat the have on their plates is just there and they dont think about where it came from. in other words, whilst most people have no idea where their food comes from, there are thousands who do, so keep up the fantastic work gents...........

It was interesting to hear why you western farmers have multiple small bins and almost no grain legs-I always wondered. We take US 2 almost every summer between MN and the west end at Seattle, so we see a lot of western farming, so different from what we do in IN. The improvements on the Westfield augers look good, particularly being able to use 1000 RPM PTO. I have run 1394's and 1384's with my old White and it would have been happier to be able to run more than 1700 rpm while loading wet corn. Are the lower bearings still a weak point? I have changed many, maybe because we have more wet weather-there does not seem any good way to get more than a few years out of those lower bearings.

Amazing video Nick and crew!!! I’ve been watching you for 5 years now and you answered more questions for me in this video than I’ve learned in many many hours of watching you and others. Such as why you and some run grain augers vs grain legs. I always thought grain legs were just fancy farmers but now it makes sense why row crop farmers have them vs a multi crop farm of grains. Also answered when and why farmers upgrade and why those choices are made. So thank you. Love watching

Grain legs only really make sense on the farm if you're handling high-volume crops like corn where we're unloading a semi every 7 minutes with three combines going, and we're dumping from the driers into bins with 90ft sidewalls. When you got bins scattered all over, the transport auger makes more sense. Downside to augers is that they require a LOT of power compared to a leg. I like that steerable axle BTW.

Years ago I worked for the local CooP and was running the leg and dumping trucks when this gal pulls up in a tandem with a swinging end gate. After opening the end gate and hoisting the bed to unload, she took off lowering the bed on the go with the gate still open! By the time she got back to the scale house I’d fired the 3 wheeler and raced to shut her down before she could round the corner and remove the gate on the concrete dock to secure the gate. A couple years later another gal in a tandem cleanly removed the gravity unload spout on one of the 100,000 bushel concrete bins making a big mess. Grain vacs were a new thing and they had to rent one for the salvage… When you’ve seen a few cats astrophes like those, leaving a gravity slide open doesn’t seem such a big deal…lol

I was also thinking of blue grave, because you had to kill the old truck to bring this one to life. Glad the crops are yielding better than last year so far, and no weather damage. I think the auger system for you guy's beats the leg structure like on Larson Farm's, or that millennial fella, because the money to build those system's, plus the electric bill must not be cheap, plus the world we live in right now does not seem that stable economically. You guy's do the best with what you have, and yes some repairs are expensive, but nothing like buying this new stuff that requires def. G-d bless all you Welkers.
