We just caught an inch of rain in southeast alberta in the past couple days but too late for alot of the crops up here, boy did we have a heck of a nice crop coming in may and june but july cooked us. Still will be much better than last year maybe 25bu/ac across the board which is much better than around 10-13bu/ac the past few years. We’re definitely in the same boat as you guys drought wise. Good luck with harvest this year and god bless you guys!

Nick, if you begin your harvesting on the far side of the field where the wind is blowing towards you if a fire does break out in will have to crawl up wind and won’t spread nearly as fast.

Tis the season. That intro reminds me of why I do what I do. Eight reman feederhouse cylinders, 12 cutter bar main arms bored and sleeved, out the shop with a two day turnover and tomorrow a rear axle crossmember made from scratch will be done in four days work, instead of a six month delivery on a cast iron part. I´ll keep on as long as you farmers keep on. 🤝

The introduction to your video was absolutely brilliant, amazing and just fantastic!!!!!!! The cinematography and music and scenery mixed in with the farm machinery scenes was magnificent!!!!! Wow and wow!!!!!! Can’t get any better than that. My compliments to the Welkers for that wonderful lead into your video. Sorry for the breakdown on Bob’s combine. Sounds like in a couple of days you will have the parts you need but I understand you can at least use it now. Really glad to hear the yellow peas crop production is up from last year. You said it could be better but is certainly better than last year, that is absolutely great to hear. Hang in there Welkers!!!!! Glad to see Colby is riding shotgun with Bob again. And I noticed that Nick had the kids riding with him. Harvest is time for the family to take part also. Guess Bob is still looking for a motor for his pickup. Hopefully he can get something soon. Hang in there. Like seeing the new blue truck out in the field with you guys during harvest. You all did a great job on that truck. About it I guess. I hope you harvest crops production continues to be good. Sending my prayers to all of you ❤!!!!!!! With my blessings!!!!!!!! The Iowa farm boy. Steve 😊😊👋👍👍🙏✅💕🇺🇸🇺🇸

drone video at the start was over the top amazing. Lots going on, will watch this episode several times. Just a thought for new folks, show the Fire Tamer in action link from 4 years ago, that was exciting, plus how you have it set up now. You did not want to put it up on the newer expensive sprayer upgrade. As you mentioned fires at harvest are a real threat.

Nick, as always your eduts are majestic!! Thank you for the love you out into each "episode". Out here by Iowa, i have yet to see a grasshopper. Conservation dept says its because of heavy rains. Well, they are wrong because my area has had 3 inches total since May 1, so that story doesn't work What happened to them? I've not seen a monarch in two years now. My bee garden is barely buzzing. Something is terribly wrong.
@DG-ne8iq5 ай бұрын
Intro sound and images.👍👍 It must be the lack of rain at flowering that limits your yields. In France, it's heat stroke at flowering, especially in the south. Over the last 20 years, spring pea yields have become ridiculous,dry forage for animals, yellow or green even north of Paris, where 90bu/a is now only 50-60 bu, also because of aphanomyces. Peas sown before winter can withstand temperatures of -5°f, but for the past 20 years our cold has not gone below 20°f (so they flower before the heat waves of May, but another disease, bacteriosis, has appeared: Pseudomonas syringae pv pisi). On the other hand, inoculation is not used 🌱
