You pick an rpg, fextralife has made a subpar, piecemeal and outdated wiki rendition of it. The reason for all of this being is that this guy is a careless opportunist who doesn't give a fuck about offering correct information. I mean, look at this video itself, lil bro put up a "walkthrough" for a game that hasn't even come out, on a version of a game that still has the old flask system. The only mistake GGG made, in my opinion, was that they gave a review code to Fextralife. Every single other game gets reviews and we side eye that they’re not releasing reviews till day of. If this was Starfield we were talking about the standard would be different. Obviously POE 2 is in early access, but letting journalists give early access reviews and impressions can only really help them and entice people to pick up the game, as it is going to be retailing for $30 for EA so of course people will want to make an informed purchase and for a lot of people regular, generally respected games media and reviewers like IGN, like Gamespot, like SkillUp or ACG or MrMatty or Angry Joe, are a good and trustworthy outlet to get more casual eyes on your game. Fextralife just wasn’t the move for that.

Not sure why a beta needs a review. So much for everyone starting on the same page. Then again certain streamers also put up detailed advice on what skills to use indicating they played more than the few hours of old builds somewhere at a convention... I understand the promo is needed but it would be more fun if we all discover the game naturally instead of the usual suspects explaining it to us as always.

Takes away from any sort of competitiveness this games genre has with racing to max level and such if some people get access early and can learn ahead of time. I don't care for that myself, but there's plenty who I see are doing this every league.

We don't need no shitty PR excuse to de-escalate the drama. They were explicitly told by multiple people in the community to avoid F extra life. And it's not just about the video, as F were fully building a wiki based on out of date information that they also were explicitly told not to do (whihch was actually part of the NDA). GGG should get held accountable for this shit as ultimately it was their fault to give access to a known parasite.

How the heck a company like GGG ends being tricked with fake numbers from Fextralife like this? Because they for sure aren't aware of how much crap they did in the past to be so out of touch to provide them a key for something huge like this. I thought they had learned from when they gave high priority to streamers and let other players get screwed, but nop, they ignored totally that. It's like their heads are too consumed by PoE and, maybe, Magic The Gathering and nothing else. I thought they would at least insta-ban or sue them, but nop, they basically gave them green light to the highroad to continue this... circus. Terrible move from them and I'm sure they lost a few players from this.
