I agree with what you said about the SC1. And it does smell great! The problem I had is it does not last very long and it takes a lot. I have a ZForce 800ex and it took the whole can and I still did not have enough do a good job on the roof or any of the inside of the bed. I'm in the Arizona desert where the sun can be brutal. Maybe it will hold up better for you where it isn't as hot or dry. It only took a few months after I bought the ZForce and the black trim was turning gray. The SC1 gave it new appearance again but it started going back to gray in a few weeks. I recently switched to Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat and so far, it is holding up much better. It comes as saturated cloth packs in individual packets. I find that easier to apply since there is no issue of protecting against overspray. It also doesn't leave the oily film like SC1 so it does not attract as much dust. I think the SC1 has a slightly more natural look after it has had time to dry out but the Cerakote looks fine with just a slight coating appearance. Amazon sells a 10 pack for about $17 US. Walmart has it in store for about the same but it is an eight pack. Figure on using all 10 packets the first time if the plastic is gray. Next time you might want to spay your jeans with the SC1 to protect them from that rusty water!

I was curious about the gas tank ring, is it in the manual about making sure it is tight ? for preventable maintenance. If not I would call that a problem for cfmoto and even a recall.

I would tend to believe that is not in the manual. I have never seen that. That lock ring is something that shouldn't be coming loose ever
