Been in trouble with the law a few times under the influence. Things that dragged me under. Lost a really nice job with a tech firm while locked up. I went homeless for a year after and I'm still paying off some restitution to this day. There was little to no leniency and my public defender took the weakest plea deal ever. I did my time, sobered up with proof from doctors, therapists, community service the works... Didn't matter. The system is built around debt, you are always in debt to them whether its your time or financially. Sorry to hear about your troubles, we're rooting for you.

Having done 10 years in the criminal justice system. Its hard to move on sometimes. I understand the sanction and vop but appreciate it when people explain that so others understand. I got sober in jail where there is no program. Addiction is a bitch and it consume us when we fall weak to it. Keep fighting the good fight marcus. The fact that you look damn good and are clean now the people who stand by you see it brother, and your fans know and beleave in you. The worst part of going to jail for me was always the cold Turkey detox you have to suffer through for the first week or so. Not sure about GA, but in Tennessee you might get a little ibuprofen if you’re lucky. They don’t give you methadone or subutex or anything. I’m glad you don’t have to go through that, and now that I’m 10 months sober, and don’t plan on EVER seeing that side of a cell again….I don’t plan on ever suffering through that again. My dearly departed uncle once said “the loneliest sound in the world is cold steel on cold steel”. Until you’ve experienced “lights out” in a correctional facility….that won’t make any sense to you. It doesn't. It's cobb county, GA. It's one of the most corrupt places in the US. The sheriff tried to arrest employees at a burger king when they got his order wrong last year and called his deputies to back him up (they didn't). Not kidding. They were ticketing ppl for eating while driving too, which isn't actually illegal. The whole place is a punchline in law enforcement circles
