I'm going to build a fireplace!

I'm going to build a fireplace surround with mantel for an electric fireplace insert. I'm also considering adding built in bookcases or shelving.

I think that bookcases on either side of the new fireplace would work the best for the size of the room. It would also give you more room on the side where you have the couch.
