How exactly do you learn business administration from professors who are not only intimidated at the idea of working outside the protective bubble of academia, but actually loathe the idea of free commerce?
@Trenton.D3 жыл бұрын
Um, business schools (and economics departments) are taught by professors who believe in capitalism, particularly crony capitalism.
@ChrisFromLongIsland3 жыл бұрын
A lot of business admin “professors” are former entrepreneurs themselves. That or they’ve worked in one of many business-applied positions at a large firm. I will agree though that a lot of “business sense” or business-applicable skills are learned on the job. That’s no excuse for skipping out on a (reasonably priced and relatively valuable) college education.

It is because too many people do it as an excuse not to be an adult. You do not see it because you are still at home. If you go away to college or move away for work for a few years you see it, friends and others who were living with parents when you left still there and still doing the same half-assed job. I have known and heard of guys like you. Get along with their parents well and live a full life just have no good reason to take the expense of their own place. I heard of three guys all bachelor brothers got a place and took their mother in. She did the laundry so she could feel she was earning her keep. They all were happy. Difference is the people who are 29 and cannot survive out on their own.

Don’t know if the kid reads it or not, but for the ones who read, think outside the box If you buy a entry level home with savings as a downpayment, you can live in one bedroom and rent out other rooms to cover entire payment ( meaning living for free with roommates while you start building your real estate portfolio) Keep doing that and will make you a millionaire passively, not including your 8-5 job, that won’t make you a millionaire

It's not a bad idea more kids want to be their owns bosses out of high school, however, well over 70 percent fail. Kids need skills before they start a business. This is the side of the story you don't hear about.
