The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions, flea markets & Antique centers ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, my antique booth and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

As a retired RN who worked in a Poison Information Centre, I don’t recommend the bleach water for getting stains out of drinkware, lots of people come in from doing yard work or whatever looking for a drink and mistakenly drink what’s sitting on the counter. Hi. The best for cleaning tea or coffee stains from cup is to use dental cleaning tablets. Just put for some time and if it is necessary repeat ❤

I'm SO glad your injury turned out to be minor. Ever since your last video I've been worried about you. My girlfriend lost her balance in her house, hit her eye socket on her coffee table and now is completely blind in one eye. Things can happen in an instant. Start learning about clear crystal glass. Designers are using statement pieces again to stage homes. Display flowers, as a contrast to the "woody" things, candy dishes for soap, put fairy lights, etc.

I’m glad you’re doing ok and taking it easy. All the thrifts tape lids on ceramic, porcelain, etc with tons of tape and the one time tape is needed to keep the paper cutter from seriously hurting someone, there’s nothing! Take care and as usual all great finds.

Just love watching your videos. I have learned so much from and just love all the detail you give on all of your finds. I love the artwork! My biggest find was in an antique store in Indiana of an oil painting I bought because I loved the frame - it turned out to be a Caroline Burnett oil painting :) You just never know what your going to find.

I moved from Lancaster area 2 1/2 years ago. This past week my niece and I took a girls trip to Lancaster. We went to thrift stores, antique shops and spent 2 hours in Rt 30 goodwill. That was great. Watching you I'd seen the change of the store but could not believe how big and all the stuff all the shelves. Yup we bought stuff. 😊

I drink lots of tea and coffee and always use a mix of bleach, water and a few drops of dish soap, let it soak a bit, to get them looking brand new inside. (I also drop my dish rag in there to clean). Rinse it really well or run through the dishwasher. Works great! As far as pricing - years ago, managers or cashiers would always give you a price on non- priced items right at the register, and managers always gave you a deal on items that were not marked correctly. They knew they were thrift stores selling used goods. Times have certainly changed.

I use dishwasher detergent to clean stains in cups. Also works well for cleaning pans. Sprinkle some powder and add hot water, allow it to sit overnight. Then use a brush or cleaning pad. Works great.

I learned a big lesson when I bought Nike cleat shoes several weeks ago . One size was a 15 & other 17 . I didn’t check each shoe . I was lucky Goodwill gave me a store credit. I am glad you are ok

I’m pretty sure the quilt is a lap blanket. I have always seen them used with older people in the nursing home but in all honesty they can be used for about anything (picnic, changing baby, car blanket etc)

We teachers used those cutting boards a lot! I remember how heavy they were and you had to really be careful to not catch your fingers in the blade! 👋 HI KLC 😊 So happy you're mending well. I just watched this video on my TV (big screen 😊). I've been waiting for you to one day make mention about the pricing policies at GW. I was there a few weeks ago, and I had a couple of conversations with some sales people. I spoke to one about how they determine their pricing and she basically said the same thing you said about items being determined by individuals with no particular rhyme or reason. She was a college student. Then I asked another worker (older women) if I could see a couple items behind the glass. When I saw the price of one item I almost dropped it on the glass. I said oh wow, never mind. The woman said, "I don't blame you." So, I'm not sure but it does seem that there is an imbalance with what you expect to find at "Goodwill" and their efforts to increase profits...which would be outrageously high considering that they are getting things absolutely free. I'm not rich by any sense of the word, so often I shop for myself and grandkids and, yep sometimes I turn for a profit...basically so I can buy more things. 😆😉

So glad your injuries from the paper cutter handle weren't severe! Fortunately you don’t appear to have two "shiners"! You could try an ice pack; it would help with the swelling... Did you buy the paper cutter? I LOVE a good vintage paper cutter! That one looked like a good one, too! I pick them up whenever I see them as they are indispensable in my work room for cutting cardboard or paper stock of various thicknesses. I always have one in service; if I find one that is sharper or in better condition than the one I currently have, I just swap them out and sell the one I no longer need. Once you add it to your arsenal, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it! 😊

Glad you are taking it easy and letting your body heal. I am shocked the manager didn't offer some type of an adjustmemt on the pricing of the two bags. I can say that in our stores here (Salvation Army) the managers do make adjustments. Guess Goodwill is different.

Hi Karen! My Dad used to sell antiques on the side. His specialty was glass and that is all he sold. There is a lot to know about glass! Don't beat yourself up for not knowing glass objects, there is much too much to know it all!
