That sprinkler worm thing was from target. I sold a new one a little over a year ago for about $12. What a sweet face that dog had. Great finds. I don't think the stores in my area ever have sales. You live in a great area for thrifting.

Oh what fun it is to shop with you, Karen. 😊 I pick up a lot of frames to potentially put my own artwork in and to also resell the frames…if they’re nice ones…especially old frames in good shape are sought after….the old minis (antique era) are particularly favored. So if you have some really nice frames, you could potentially sell them locally. Not saying it’s a big money maker, but if you want to bother, it might be good to resell them.

Winnie was the star of this show; what a cuttie pie. On the tape front, the Goodwills in my area use clear packing tape to bundle items, which destroys gold leaf on dishes and pretty much any vulnerable surface when the tape is peeled off. I've suggested to no avail that they use painters tape, which peels off without damaging the goods, but my requests have gone unheeded, whereas I just won't pick up anything that they've bundled together with clear tape, because almost always it causes damage to the item. I liked the pottery kitty plate as well; nice find. Thanls for sharing your thrift adventures.

A few weeks ago I watched be of your videos about always picking up linens. Then I found a set of vintage Ralph Lauren sheets still in package with the Filenes tag still on them! Sold in 24 hours! Since then I have found Wamsutta vintage sheets, vintage Ralph Lauren comforter and a pottery barn duvet. Thanks for the advice!

The salt glazed mug at 13:07 was probably Williamsburg Pottery and they usually sell for $10-$15, but there are similar mugs made in Germany as well. The ones from Williamsburg are usually well marked.

Those crucifix's were kept in the home for when a priest needed to come to the home to administer Last Rites for someone who was dying. My grandmother had one and my aunt still has one on her wall.

Hi Karen! I think the trio of pieces you picked up (two bud vases and a small tray) right at the beginning of the video were Herend (high quality Hugarian porcelain, if you don't already know that!). The Community Aid price was high but those pieces can go for good money. Some of the animals in their fishnet style can go for crazy money! Love your videos, take care. :)

I'm glad you bought the wooden carving. I'm sure it is intended be used as a decoration. I've picked up quite a few over the years, both plates and cups (often called wedding cups in yugoslavia, I believe). Each one is unique, like most handmade art. It's called chip carving and is still popular today. It's a folkcraft common in Europe, and even in the US.

Oh geez. I still have my Lane Cedar Jewelry box that was given to all senior high school girl grads by a furniture store in Southampton, PA in hopes that you would buy a Ceder Hope Chest. That was back in 1971. Well.... I still remember going with my best friend (not BFF in those days) to pick it up. They tried so hard to sell us a cedar hope chest. We laughed because we thought we were women of the world and did not need such a thing. Never got married till my 30s, still have my mini jewelry chest, my "BFF" has been married and divorced three times and lost the darn chest many years ago. Coinsidence! Yep! The chest doesn't mean a thing!
