I've told Chris (CGQ) this, but I've never owned a PC Engine or a Turbo Grafx 16, but those systems were simply not promoted at all in the midwest. I didn't even know anyone who had one of those systems when they were introduced in the late 80's and early 90's. I never understood why, but its obvious we missed out on some great games. I don't own either of those systems now, but the more I see the more tempted I am to seek them out. Yet, Nexer sounds like a real beast to make it work and yet...this game intrigues me a lot. I am excited to see where this journey goes! Oh one last thing, I enjoy the Patton reference "Rommel, I've read your book!" Indeed you did Bithead1000, indeed you did! I just got to stage 3 (once you get the three way shot and the options you are a beast). Never heard of the game until this video. The gameplay, simple backstory and music makes me want to see this game through to the end. It's more than just the typical generic alien invasion, it's a story of personal loss and revenge. That hooks me for some reason. Maybe it brings me back to the Robotech days. And you're right, who needs to know what they're saying? We know exactly what's going on. Great game.

If you want to talk about shooters, I’m into those games most definitely. My pc engine collection pales in comparison I’m sure to BitHead1000 collection but I do have complete neo géo AES set so I’ve played Pulstar, and last resort, Blazing Star, A.S.O. II Last Guardian I’ve played and they’re tougher than hell. Even tougher than the PC Engine shooters I’ve played in some cases.

Neo Geo AES shooters are all sickeningly expensive. I think even the cheapest ones are $250. Since BitHead1000 isn’t one for Multi-Cart type solutions, his best bet is to get a CMVS (Consolized Neo Geo Arcade board)... at least this way he can get all the shooters for less than $250 each.

One of my favs Nexzr, or as my mate calls it ‘Nazaaaar’. It’s brutal for sure but if you stick to the powered up straight shot and the side missiles the game isn’t that hard. I did a 1-life replay of it a few years ago if you’re after some tips. also, if you need any help with audio editing, for instance, fixes for making the mic sound clearer, or balancing the sound so that when you play the game audio it doesn't fucking make my speakers explode, you let me know man. If you have a pc or laptop you should look up "game tengoku" on steam. It's available on Sega Saturn as well but very expensive. It was recently released with English subtitles and it's a great shooter that is themed after videogames and arcade games. In english it would be "the game paradise"

The cheapest way is to just burn a cdr of an iso downoad. I am not sure if you knew this, but the cd and dup systems all have no copy protection and no regionlock for cd games, so burned discs work fine. Buying reproduitons from croooks is a much worse option imo than just fiding iso download. But they do lok ugly though! but I dont care, I am a real GAMER, I dont care about hwat t loks ike! Well, I sort of do, but not for $180 for 1 game.

Fuck it. I bought a repro of Nexzr from PCEworks. Check their site out. Highest quality repros you can buy. After watching a shitload of your videos I've come to the conclusion that all I really want to play are the old shooters( of course there are exceptions) but yeah.
