About Anjelah:
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes was born and raised in San Jose, California where she grew up with four siblings in a large extended family to which she remains close. Anjelah found herself an internet sensation and pioneer in viral KZbin videos when her notorious “Nail Salon” bit from a local comedy show was posted and received over 100 million views! Shortly thereafter she was added to the cast on the original MADtv where she trademarked her legendary character, Bon Qui Qui. Similar to the nail salon video, the Bon Qui Qui sketch caught on and have been viewed by over 75 million people. The multi-hyphenate’s popularity has translated into four successful comedy specials: That’s How We Do It” (Comedy Central), The Homecoming Show (NUVO TV), Not Fancy (Netflix) and Mahalo & Good Night (Epix). She has displayed her acting prowess both on TV and film. Some of her credits include “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Superstore,” “Moms’ Night Out,” and “Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.” Her first book was published in 2022, Who Do I Think I Am: Stories of Chola Wishes and Caviar Dreams, a hilarious and touching memoir full of memorable anecdotes on how a Latina dynamo was able to forge ahead and become successful.

Gratitude is SO important for life, no matter what! I've had a gratitude journal for about 15 years, I'm 43 years old now. And I have been through the wringer in life, but it never swayed me away from writing in my gratitude journal and thinking thankful thoughts...

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday to Rosie!! SO SO proud of you!! 🎉🎉🎉 That first year IS always the hardest and I feel like a lot of people underestimate it but you did it! Remaining conscious of your decisions and actions is SO key. As well as staying grateful of all the little moments with your baby. I'm totally the same way with all my kids but especially my youngest as far as being so annoyed and ready for bed but then I can't fall asleep because I'm just obsessed with stroking her hair or cupping her chubby cheeks or kissing her little hands when she randomly reaches for me. And she's 3 now. Lol. It only gets better. Because that connection never changes but you do eventually get that sleep. Don't ever feel bad about those first 6 months because you have her whole life to love on her. You are such a great mom, wife, and influence on other women. 🫶🫶🫶

So much of what you say is spot on. I think Motherhood will always cause us to look back with some regrets. You did the best you could with the information you had ❤. One of my favorite moments is when my husband verbally b*tch slapped a guy for being obnoxious to our..(i think he was 5 ) son who is autistic. The whole plane section backed my husband and son and i have never felt more love towards my fellow travelers.

I had littles in my 40. My first was at 36 second at 39. We were flying back from Germany. My husband was a soldier, and we were coming back from our duty station there to return to the USA forever. My infant son, who was born a premie at 2.5lbs, made a peep. I mean he just cried a little bit. He was just over 1 year old, and food was coming down the aisle and he was hungry-hungry. This seven-foot man wanted to start a fight with me over my son crying a little. Now, I would have understood if my son was having a meltdown, but this was a little bit of crying. This man wanted to fight me and my baby, I'm 5'4'. I stood up and changed seats with my husband who is about 6 feet. He decided he only wanted to fight infants and small women. I feel you; I would have done all I could do to keep my son from driving everyone crazy. No one wants their baby crying and stressing everyone out. But I just can't understand why it seems acceptable for someone to try to frighten and threaten a mom with her baby. You're right, "babies are going to baby." Support moms.

I flew from Seattle to Hawaii, with a newborn. I had a broken ankle, and my milk was FLOWING. My newborn baby, turn out years later to be autistic and sensitive as hell to outside influences, was screaming on q 5 1/2 hour flight. One guy gave me the look the first sound that son made. I lost my mama bear mind. Thanks you God, passengers took turns to walk my son up and down the aisle. I couldn't walk, needed a wheelchair at the time. I couldn't walk but that man who have me a look, made sounds and made a comment, figured out real fast, his ass better run. Don't say one word to me with recovering from surgery, newborn baby and on a flight to Hawaii because I was told my grandfather was dying. Don't EVEN go there sir.

I went to my daughter’s pediatrician telling him that my 10 month daughter does not nap and sit still. I am going to fly across the country with her. He said give her Benadryl believe it or not. Gave her some and she was out for most of the trip. I thought this was a good solution for her first time on an airplane.

On the flip side of this....I was in a Walmart for groceries & I heard a small child on repeat, "mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy." BOTH parents ignoring the CONSTANT cries of a toddler in the cart. We were an isle apart when I said, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WOULD YOU PLEASE ANSWER YOUR CHILD" Finally, the incessant cries for attention were answered 😊 (I might have, maybe, kinda, said that they were NOT the only ones in the store 🤔)

When my wife was breast feeding our kids, she had to give up kimchi. It made the kids have cramps. She was so sad. Once when she was taking a break out shopping, she heard some other baby crying and she just started leaking. When I would get home from work, I got handed the baby before the welcome home kiss.

I don't mind kids or their behavior on flights. I am more concerned with grown adults who do not know how to act. However, the best flight to take with a bunch of kids and infants is a Southwest flight to Orlando, Florida. All of the children are well behaved going to Disney World & Universal. The flight back from Orlando, Florida with the same kids is rough and hard for parents. The kids got what they wanted and are cranky because they do not want to leave. 🤣🤣🤣 I can't wait to be one of those parents!

This on the mystery rash…. At age 29, I spontaneously developed an allergic reaction to dogs and apples, simultaneously. Both of my legs developed a rash between the knee and ankle , mainly in the interior part. At the same time, I developed hives to the upper portion of my body. The hives would come and go but the rash was constant and miserable. I was misdiagnosed in having scabies for the rash portion. I suffered on and off with both symptoms for three months until I finally saw a specialist. I had allergy tests performed and found the rash was present because I would rough house with my dog between my legs… this the allergic rash on my legs. The hives were from APPLES!!! Could you believe that!!!??? I ate an apple EVERY morning … and all of the sudden- BAM- hives. So the reaction to dogs are no more (Thank God!) BUUUT, I have to carry an epi pen for the apples. Did you know most of juices have apple juice as the sweetener?? Same as candy or gummies !! 😞
