ABOUT WILL & GRACE
That's right, honey! A decade after their unforgettable eight-season run, comedy's most fabulous foursome is back. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reprise their celebrated roles as Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. The 11th and final season of Will & Grace will feature 18 episodes. Behold once again, from the minds of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, TV's wittiest ensemble ever. The legendary James Burrows, director of every original Will & Grace episode, has returned with a slew of razor-sharp jabs and dirty martinis. Will & Grace stands as NBC's most watched comedy in seven years. Originally debuting in 1998, Will & Grace has been nominated for 91 Emmy Awards, winning 18 of them, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The series has also earned seven SAG Awards and the show is one of the few in TV history where each member of the cast has won an Emmy.

One of my favorite episodes. Grace was so heartbroken, but soon realized that she did have plenty of love in her life besides Nathan, love this show.

The second half was such a great scene. They gather around to force her out of grieving and back out into life, but then they realized they need to grieve with her her way. But either way, her friends all gathered around her.

psychologically this seems so bad. totally enabling and encouraging very destructive coping mechanisms. supporting is good, but three days without showering, hiding in the bed is self-destructive
@michalinaokrent6672
@michalinaokrent6672 2 ай бұрын
Giving someone a literal "cold shower", with 3 ppl restraining the victim, is abusive. No one dies from not taking a shower for three days or staying in bed for three days. Some people's nervous systems actually need physical rest for some days after an EMOTIONAL disaster the person has gone through
@maikeweige1548
@maikeweige1548 2 ай бұрын
@michalinaokrent6672 maybe. but at what point does leaving them alone let them turn their depression into self-destruction? the shower probably not best idea but helping her move on is needed. but the whole show was about all their disfunction and how none of them got help or developed.
@michalinaokrent6672
@michalinaokrent6672 2 ай бұрын
@@maikeweige1548Three days in bed is NOT depression (in clinical sense). It can be mourning, as I said earlier, and a way to restore the BODY (I'm someone with a very sensitive nervous system and in a similar situation to what was depicted in this episode, I also had no PHYSICAL energy to do anything, basically as if you have the flu minus the congestion and cough). It took me about two days spent just basically in bed, I even lost any interest in food and I LIKE food (always have been healthy weight but I like cooking and eating good food). I spent some time talking to a good friend over the phone from bed. Was too PHYSICALLY weak to get up. Yes, that"s how some ppl's nervous system works. It's not just having sad or unpleasant thoughts, it's the nervous system burning out with too much "voltage". At another point in my life when I was a teenager and had serious family problems (parent's addiction that adults were not addressing), my nervous system broke down so much (physical symptoms mostly that were not getting better when treated as such), a very wise doctor gave me a YEAR off school! (He didn't know most of my problems were related to my parents). I stayed home from school for 2 months then went back on my own decision, as I felt better surrounded by my peers and felt physically much better by that time. Yes, some ppl suffer physical problems and weakness FROM STRESS and need bed rest like with any other physical ailment and they know themselves when they've gotten better enough to function as usual. It's up to the person. Trust them they know what they need (unless they are a very young child, then naturally you seek pro advice). Noone has ever healed someone else's emotional trauma or physical symptoms from an emotional shock by forcing them into a cold shower. That would nowadays be considered torture. That delicate person's nervous system could be shot dead by that, I mean it could literally cause them to die. If your nervous system is so weak, your chemistry is so bad that you could get a heart attack from another shock and such a shower would be a shock. Let people grieve. You can help by assisting them if they need something, being a confidante. What ppl in such situations need most is to feel understood and to feel they are not alone. They may not want to spend a lot of time with you (with their very low energy - think of how you feel if you suffer from a REALLY bad case of the flu), but they would benefit from being assured they can count on you. As for how the characters in the show "never developed" - that's how sitcoms "live" for many seasons. They're mostly based on the warped dynamics in a group of people. Unfortunately in real life most ppl rarely develop after reaching adulthood, too, so it's kind of based on reality... Ppl often watch such shows to have a katharsis, not just a laugh. And in the case of the better sitcoms you at least get a deeper insight into some social issues or social dynamics
