I've always heard Akshat criticising EPF and PPF investments.. but what he fails to highlight is returns on both of them is 100% tax exempt. So you end up getting ~12% (EPF) and ~10% (PPF) pre tax (assuming the person is falling in the 30% tax bracket) from investments which are way more safe than FDs As Akshat always says, don't just listen to him, listen to both sides and then make your own decision!

IDFC is giving interest rates on Savings account balances and interest credits on monthly basis instead of quarterly. Lot of new accounts are getting opened and many who hold large amounts of balances in savings accounts are moving their money to IDFC from other banks. Strangely this advantages are not being promoted on social media as much as it should be.

@@FireNFights if the interest is paid quarterly, there is compounding involved in it. Bank has to pay interest on interest for 3 mons. But if it is paying out monthly, their cost reduces considerably

@@aceapollos bro I don’t know how long you are in the market. Am a long term holder. IlI never sell a stock unless there is a huge fraud or something. U can never time the markets 1. I can clearly say I have never brought zomato because it doesn’t have a profit making business model, in the long term you will suffer. It isn’t a monopoly and the business model can be easily copied. If they increase the platform to turn profitable customers will move to other platform 2. I brought IDFC first bank range 25 to 60. And IDFC for the merger arbitrage, but he never recommended in my levels. Brought it purely seeing Mr. Vaidyanathan move from icici to Idfc first bank. 3. HUL i don’t hold any. Problem with HUL is unilever the parent company takes most of its profits. So I have unilever that I buy outside India. This is my simple understanding and analysis

Appretiate Akshat for clarifying the rationale for SIP vs Swing. Caught both Anand Rathi and Nuvama + Angel One. (Edit: BSE) Just tracking their quarterly performance was enough. In fact, Anand Rathi even gave guidance. IMO , these 3 were no-brainer. Even fund managers did stay away from Trent or Zomato citing their valuation. They all trade expensive for a reason. Valuation is an illusion, if one doesn't understand/track the business regularly.

I can see some comments mentioning that Akshat’s recommended stocks always go in opposite direction. This comes as a great surprise for me because I took most of his recommendations (I am a member of the community) and most of my investments are in green. So I don’t know how the opposite happened to others. One of the reasons I like Akshat’s commentary is that he clearly explains why is he picking or leaving out a particular stock. The rationale behind the choice. That gives you sufficient information to take a decision. I don’t want someone else to be taking all the decisions for me

Maybe it goes sideways or down in summer, but it peaks only in June-July, and before that it pumps like crazy in May. Next few months will be euphoric, forget about deeper corrections. Stock market is already oversold, put/call ratio near extreme levels, May is historically bullish for tech stocks (if earnings come out good). Bitcoin will probably chop around here and close month negatively (first time in 8 months), then to the moon! And even if there is a larger correction in the future, it will happen above previous ATH, that's where BTC.D dumps and altseason kicks in. So the fun is just getting started...It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Kerrie Farrell, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.....

Akshat , firstly thanks for making good content. I differ on Zomato ,as with current pricing its valuation is 1.76 lakh crore just half of Axis Bank. Zomato does 3000 crore too like vs Axis ‘ 28,000 crore. Its is ridiculous pricing. If it doubles then imagine it would be 3.4 lakh crore company! BS

While idfc first is a good stock, its revenue and profit is growing at the same rate as hdfc amd ICICI. One wud assume a smaller bank wud grow faster than the larger ones, which is not the case here. So why idfc then?

@@sumeetbiswal755 no doubt he does his research. Nowadays he contradicts himself and keep posting videos almost daily, trying to increase his reach. Also he doesnt like current govt (check his tweets) but cannot say anything directly as it will impact his reach badly.

I completely agree with your IDFC First view. I think of long run, it is no where less than HDFC. So return will be huge here. Zomatto, i analysed this 2 years before but now, no point of investing in it. Risk factor is not favorable at 4 times of stock price.

Blinkit is doing really good and its gonna continue to grow. Blinkit is basically competing with Bigbasket, Zeto, Dunzo, Reliance Fresh and your local grocery store. They launched today in my area and the volume of orders is such that they are unable to take more orders.

Idfc bank has dropped from 7 percent interest rate to 3.5 percent which is pathetic. I have seen it at same level for almost 7 years. Stock has hardly doubled since inception. It's a slow moving stock which never performs. With due respect idfc first can't even give nifty returns. Hence will never invest since I am a customer of idfc since 2016.

HDFC Bank bolna band kar diya hai.. 3 saal se bol raha hai kuch hua nahin. Abhi 2 saal baad chalega tab bolega ki people were scolding me for hdfc bank see now it is doing well. The opportunity cost is already lost in that case. Do listen to people like Akshat but also use your own analysis at the end of day it is your money. Do not enter idfc first bank if your holding period is less than 1 year. It is undergoing a lot of regulatory process due to the merge right now. But it under a wonderful management and it is on the right track. I am myself heavily invested in IDFC first bank too. It will test your patience. If you lack patience this stock is not for you.

I agree with all positive points mentioned regarding IDFC bank…but what if Jio takes over or interferes in some way. You forget that chaiwala is still around …so all this logic goes out of the window.
