(sorry, long youtube comment incoming): so refreshing to see unfiltered content on social media that's not 'life crafting' for the sake of clicks. no manufactured drama, and no performative pretense to suggest you're trying to be the idyllic couple - yet the entire conversation was so engaging (and endearing! both with the exchanged looks 😍, and intermittent pest control 😂). this video is rated A for authenticity, 13/10 would recommend 👍 in spending time consuming your videos, i've realized what characterizes your content is that in almost every case, it forces me to take something away to think about. literally thought-provoking concepts that are not only intellectually enjoyable to explore, but forces one to flex parts of their brain that much of social (and mainstream) media are so keen on dulling these days. from this video for example, i really thought aspects of recovery, navigating triggers, the realities of being in such close proximity to the world of addiction - would all weigh more heavily on the day to day. it's clearly not ignored/minimized as you did talk about it; the shape of it was so different though. really, it's a special thing to provide that type of insight. everyone you've elected to bring on to your channel have been great ambassadors for the community and platform you're building. it's SUPER clear megan is an extra special guest (rightfully so); as i said before, eager to see what's next. also, common human decency dictates i have to mention these nuggets: pure gold: 8:56 - megan's look to the camera, and your reaction 🤣 pure 24k gold: 10:00 - your look to the camera 🤣 final thought - i luv what comes through in the video is how BOTH of you are surprised at how lucky you got by finding each other ♥ (it's like that meme... Hey Jack, I can wholly sympathize with Megan's situation when she talked about her dad dying of a brain tumor. My brother died of an inoperable brain tumor--and he was in Ireland. So I couldn't be with him when he passed. I also sympathize with you, brother, when you talk about your ankles swelling up from all those shakes. When I first came to Kansas from NY, I drank so many sodas to try to keep cool that my ankles swelled. I had to painfully navigate our college campus on two canes. My life has been different from yours, but I can relate to you both, I think. Gail was from Cali and I was from NY. So of course we met in Kansas and she hated my sarcasm. But we worked on a project together and got to know each other. We were both Traditional Catholics and fell in love--not in the "romantic" sense, but totally committed when we got married. We had four kids, at least half of whom had learning problems. It wasn't easy, and Gail and I fought, though usually trying to keep it away from the kids. But I didn't understand what she had been through in her earlier years. She'd been abused in every sense, so she had PTSD and depression, plus other medical issues, and nothing had been taken care of. Once I got her to doctors, things worked out and I understood how to deal with it. Between the side effects of her medications and the fact that her doctors didn't address some serious issues, she began a decline as we approached 25 years. She had to be hospitalized more than once, and was in longterm care (nursing home) where she was neglected despite my intervening with staff repeatedly. So she passed to eternity 9 years ago last month. By the end, she was praying to leave this life, and I was praying she'd stay. Her prayers were more pleasing to God. I don't think I deserved her. Now I try to help my kids find their way. And I try to make good friends and depend on family and friends more than ever. Now I'm rambling, so ... Jack, my brother, keep going. Great to meet Megan. "HOT" or ATTRACTIVE" people because even though you are a looker, you recognize the danger that really beautiful people have of falling deeply into themselves and their images which many times turns them into MR. If we are nice to look at, and we know it, a lot of time and energy can be focused on us and our image and how good we can look to others, so it can keep leading us back to ME ME ME, and turning us into nasty sun-of-a-guns to be around.
