I agree that she was a terrible person who did so bad things, but can’t forget that she was a victim of child abuse, when azulon and the royal family saw azula was a natural gift, she quickly became ozai’s fave and raised her as a weapon, a prodigy, with like no empathy for others, at least she didn’t know them.

Yes she indeed suffered from schizophrenia and hallucinations, in the comics (the end of the promise) we saw azula all tied up and looked so lost, we saw also she was hallucinating her mom talking to her in the comics too
