@@42Kurama The Legend of Korra didn't have nearly as much soul and heart put in it as Aang did, plus I feel like they just recycled characters in a way by incuding original Gaang's children as a big part of the show, instead of them making occasional cameos or not appearing in the show at all. I cared about Gaang, but I don't give two shits about their offspring. I don't have any emotional connection to them, other than that they're children of my favourite characters which is not enough for me as a viewer to care about them. In my opinion there were just too many characters and none of them got the proper development. Plus Korra was annoying asf and overpowered. Meh. I hope we'll get a prequel show about the past Avatar in the future.

I believe one of the things that made Aang such a great character was that he subverted the expectations we have of the "chosen one". In a sense, Aang was the chosen one, as the fate of the world appeared to be resting on his shoulders, but he was just as much the chosen one as all the Avatars that came before him. As a result, he not only had to live up to the task he was given but also all the people that came before him as well as the idea he represented. This is what I believe greatly contributed to the character being humble, apart from him being an air nomad, and why him being so humble was so believable even before we learned about the teaching of the air nomads.

Which part of the show? The bending? The spirituality? The show is based off of the buddhist path of the bodhisattva. In buddhism the teaching is that you can end your cycle of birth and death by realizing nirvana. However the bodhisattva path is a bit different. They take a vow to not realize nirvana and keep being reborn to help as many beings as they can. The avatar would be a bodhisattva. If there are truths to spirituality, you can be a bender. You can be a spirit bender, like Korra. To do that, all you would need to do is meditate, and watch your mind.

I was always bummed that Sokka lost that sword right before Aang defeated Fire Lord Ozai. I like to think that after the battle, Sokka went out on a solo adventure and recovered his sword. And with the world at relative peace, he was able to put his sword up, and rock the boomerang again.

There might be multiple reasons a person clicks on this video some want a soothing track to lull them to sleep. To those people : leave coments and get the rest you deserve. Sleep well some may be studying. To people: leave comments, I wish you good luck, you are going to do amazing. some can not stand the silence and the thoughts and tears that accompany the silence. To people : take a deep breath in : now say, “ I am fine. I will be fine. I am in control. I’m okay ! to anyone who is reading this right now, I love you. And so do many others. You have nothing to worry about. Take a breath and appreciate the good things about this world. Everthing is and will be okay. You have got this, and I love you. 💕

This is so soothing and nostalgic Tip: Pick a month out of the year, make each day or week a different kind of nostalgia Mine is January (since my birthday is on that month and it's a new year) Week 1: Avatar the last Airbender, plus my favorite episodes of other childhood shows I loved. Week 2: I look through all my pictures, my old journal and diary entries. Childhood toys I kept (zuzu pets, play dough, slinky, stuffed animals) Week 3: disney (or other big movies). This week has my birthday in it, so on that day I always watch tangled (my mother was abusive, so I relate to certain parts of the movie) I also love ratatouille, Mulan, Wall-E, the lion King, and finding Nemo. Week 4: Food. This one is kind of messed up because i always eat a cookie cake on my birthday (I was never a fan of actual cake. So I always got a giant round cookie that had icing on it). But I basically eat my favorite meals or snacks that I don't eat that much anymore. My favorites are honey buns, sweet tarts, reeses pieces, etc.

Im bingewatching the series again and I felt chills as we started the first episode. It was as if my body felt the love and excitement for the show before my brain could ❤️ this show was one of my few anchors that kept me here, and from this show came mended relationships, internal growth, and a better future. I related to Aang so much because I was just a kid. A kid who had so much pressure put on him, then suddenly I’m in a whole different world (I emigrated from my native country). To this day, I’ve no idea what the future holds, but as long as I keep going and trust in my ability to bring balance to my world, then I’ll be okay. The decade is about to end and I’m scared, but if Aang and the rest of Team Avatar can master their skills and beat Firelord Ozai in the span of a year than I can surely take my adventure in this mundane world with confidence 💪🏼

I start school on Wednesday. I'm not looking forward to it and atla has always had a special place in my heart since watching it during quarantine with my brother ( watched it when he was a kid). I know I'm not a veteran atla fan since the beginning but I feel so safe in this community and in the avatar universe I can belong. School really has given me some things I have had to deal with all summer mental health wise and to tell you the truth I am really scared. Listening to a lofi playlist like this last year the night before I started school. Time flies so fast and how we can all change in such a short amount of time. Coming back here to have such an accepting community of people I dont even know. If you are starting school I wish you good luck and we can do this together! If you are struggling with mental health, stuff at home, friends, relationships, break ups anything just know it gets better with time and I'm there with you right now! Fill free if you just want to vent I am here to talk. This actually is actually a very cool detail. Aang never wanted to be the avatar because that meant that he had such a big responsibility of killing Ozai and bringing the fire nation down, all that was way too much to handle for him. While on the other hand, Korra was exited to the avatar because that meant that she would be known worldwide. Without the 100 year war to care about, the idea of being avatar seemed much more pleasant to her.
