Playing a move and a smoke are two actions you can only do one action a turn that would take two turns.

I love the AI bot. It's really well thought out and plays well. I haven't had a lot of time to play this simply because I can't stop playing COMBAT!. That game really clicked with me and it's been on the table since it arrived. BTW, there is an excellent Vassal module for Tank Duel.

I'll check out the vassal mod, thanks. I've been eyeing Combat!, but dang, I have too many games to play, do I really need one more?? :) Well yes I do.

Haven't played since pre lockdown, felt the infantry rules were weak and unrepresentative, unless mass armour battles , which doesn't represent the typical armour usage and most of the scenarios in EITC. As they have been updated and a free pnp is available decided to give it another go, GMT recommended this video so here I am for a quick refresher. 12:20 Field Command(or Leadership) to spot - discard any battle card (Move 9) to draw a single card, to draw an additional card requires discarding two OIs(the stars to the left of the card image box) worth of cards which could be a single card with 2 OIs or 2 cars with 1 OI each, NOT an additional single card for two total. You would have had to discard your Move 6 and your SMOKE card to draw an additional card.

I liked it more when I started playing the first 5-6 times. But in the end the game drove me back to Panzer and FoW. There is an extra problem: Up Front covers it all, infantry and AFV’s and is still broader in scope. The AI Bot is EXCELLENT though. Some designer FINALLY played the CoH solo expansion for once .... :)

Yeah, I really don't see this as a replacement for something like Panzer, but for a quick game to fill time I think it'll be good.

I'd say regular play first, the ai makes more sense when you understand the rules a little bit.

So an interesting situation or logic. If the other tank is in smoke cover when i move, im not spotted...right? Because it cant see me?

The tutorial is pretty good. It's best to start out small for sure.

oh sure, Playing 1 vs 1 should be simple enough.
