I also want to go outside on walks or to play regardless of weather. It’s far too easy to stay inside and be cozy on cold and rainy days. I need to invest in appropriate outerwear.

When I was younger, I didn't love winter as much as I do now. I loved the changing of seasons...but now as a grandmother I really like the forced rest, because the other seasons have so much activity that it seems harder to learn a new skill, finish a project... dawdle and poddle around finds my creativity for the new year! You have a beautiful home and family... ps. I like your 2 chairs!

What a wonderful life to be able to stay home & raise your child. It goes by so fast, so treasure each & every moment, I did. Had to pass up a very good paying job when my son was 3, my husband asked me which I thought was more important the job offered or our son, it hit me right then that my son was the most important thing in the world & I've never regretted that decision.

I love your Xmas banner & Xmas pillow covers!! I like winter a lot, especially when we have a lot of snow. Everything gets quiet & sleepy. I think of all the plants dormant for the season while I start looking at seed catalogs & planning my next garden. I make lots of soup, tea & hot chocolate. I think making bread would be fun. I have cozy blankets & warm slippers. I turn on my electric fireplace & even sometimes watch KZbin videos of cozy cabins with snow falling outside. I read more & rest more. I only get tired of winter by April if the snow isn’t gone yet. I’m in zone 3b. In the spring it’s fun to see everything again after the snow melts, as if for the first time.

I'm here for all this. These last few years I've gotten "better" at winter by focusing on home projects inside, like you're talking about. But also like you... I really dislike painting. lol. Accepting that things are gonna be slow and restful and even sometimes boring has been good for me. It makes me fight it less and enjoy it more.

I know this is a long shot because you probably thrifted it - I love the frame with Merry Christmas and other things around it. It looks like needlepoint, or that it could be a picture.
