Loving the pillows on the couch. When I grew up just about everyone had midcentury decor. It was affordable and useful. Enjoy your newly decorated home.

I love to treasure hunt and have been since I was a little girl dragged around with my parents! The first item is a depression glass candy dish, the second is a brass cache pot - basically used for indoor plants, and your embroidered piece is a called a dresser scarf. ❤

I am thrilled with your decorating! I have a new to me mid century home. Trying to learn patience! Is the desk actually mid century or a dupe? Loved everything!😂

I'm so grateful for the home God has given us. We've lived in it nearly 41 years and it needs work, which we do when we can budget it. My husband is retired from pharmacy now and sometimes it feels a little dicey to me that we are living on a much smaller income now. So, I decorate with what I have accumulated over 51 years of marriage and make what I want. I did enjoy this. I love to watch you sew. It's calming and most of the time when I sew it is the same type of feeling I get. xoxTXDeb

I was a homemake for over a decade and you know what, you do you! 100% agree on home decorating. You do not need to justify it but I love hearing your perspective. To me having a clean home that is organized and nice arranged is a sign of respect for my husband and myself and our home, belongings etc.

You are so cute. I love watching you and I love the attitude you have towards your homemaking. My girls are now 58 and 56 years old. Back when I was raising them it was really valuable to be able to sew. It was the time that you really dressed your little girls up to go to Sunday school and church each week and they wore a little dresses to school as well. I did not know how to sew but my girlfriend did. She would make a gorgeous dress for her little girl for $.50. She taught me a lot and I taught myself as well. Usually when I put my girls down for a nap I would cut two dresses out. The next day when I put them down for a nap I would sew One and that night while watching TV I would hem it. I even made their dancing recital costumes. Thank you for bringing back the sweet memories. I love watching your videos. Love in Christ

Yes! I’m so thankful for my home. I love its eclectic funky vibe. My husband, daughters and I feel like it’s our sanctuary. We need to make our homes our favorite place and I truly believe decorating is so important. It’s not cluttered, but is definitely decorated.

I completely agree with you on decorating and the value of it. I tried jumping on the minimalist train a few years ago and it just wasn’t my style. I certainly don’t want excessive clutter or unusable spaces but I definitely need decor and coziness!

How precious!!! We have a short-term rental that demands the retro vibe, also! More like RetroOklahoma... but as an older homemaker, I've always enjoyed sewing projects for my home, too!!! Thanks for keeping sewing in all the fun! Sunny days are here 🌞

Pro tip: instead of putting the chicken broth directly in the soup you could pour it into the marinara jar and shake it to get all the sauce out!

I've never seen what I assume are weights that you use instead of pins. Seems so much simpler. I love the point you make about waste and how we are not just wasting food, whatever we are really wasting people's time and effort. Worth remembering. First time to see your content.
