I loved her home. Your mom is about my age and I can tell by the way she decorated. To me, it was so welcoming and it is the old fashion Christmas that I'm use to and It feels like home. My children are about your age Elizabeth and they love coming home to feel the relaxation and the foods and feels they get when they arrive. My oldest said mom, the house is so pretty, and my youngest said, Mom, I wished blank would decorate our home like this. very natural decorated. You can see that house has been subject to constant study. If it were mine I would remove all the paint on the outside woodwork (lockers, stairs and deck) in order to create a connection to the inside of that house. My colour would be a rough pine with a matte varnish over it like beams in a shed. I think that would be an upgrade that is realizable workwise and pocketwise . The owner was inspired by French and British colour schemes in manions and in cottages. I don't say it is bad. I am only saying it would make appear the house bigger Also I would make the planters less deep to create a longer effect and lay an affordable small squared (natural) stone benaeth the stairs and then spread that out in front of the planters with a path Just ideas Mom.

Love the neutral , muted subtle color blends. With all the greenery and woods it is so tranquil and calm. The pond is a magical place to live. My favorite is her garland. The kitchen window one is amazing , and the mantel is gorgeous too. Loved the way they were layered .
