Welcome to Canada! Driving the Icefields Parkway is my absolute fave drive in Canada....360 views of majestic nature. When I was at Maligne I was told by a local guide that it's pronounced Ma-leen. Too bad you didn't have a sunny day at Maligne Lake because it's actually turquoise in colour. I don't know if you're still in the area but a visit to Peyto Lake is a must-do ☺

Oh wow I just couldn't begin to imagine what it would be like to backpack there. I've visited the area twice in my life and like you say, the beauty, even from the road is spectacular. Right now I'm in Bridgeport. Been here camping since the 15th and will be leaving on the 20th. Using my 1969 Siesta Vintage Travel Trailer on this one. It's been very nice... Can't wait for your next video Cat.

Canada is about as lethal to uts wildlife as US is. They regularly cull predators for the sake of deer, elk. They kill predators for the sake of livestock. They cut off miles of caribou migration routes in favor of oil/gas companies.

Welcome to my beautiful country. I did the Athabaska trek and some lovely hiking in Banff in 2019. It was dreamy. You will be mesmerized by the beauty of Peyto Lake and Moraine Lake in Banff National Park. If you make it to Banff, you might want to consider the Lake Agnes Tea House hike. It is a popular trail that starts from Lake Louise but when you get to the top you can enjoy tea and scones made in a historic cabin. You can take in the Big and Little Bee Hive hike from that point for spectacular views. Thank you for inviting us along on this wonderful trip. I am living vicariously. Enjoy !

Nice to “see” you here in 🇨🇦. It’s shocking to actually see how far the Columbia Icefield has retreated over the decades. I stood on the toe back in 1971, and that was the valley bottom, the lake’s edge. Safe travels from an Okanaganite. 🌞🌲🤙

Yes exactly, I was there 4 times back in the early 1980s and the glaciers since have melted back alot!! I hope she's going to Lake Louise where I did backpacking about the ski resort back then as well.

What spectacular scenery. Was it hard getting in to Canada? I remember a family trip in the late 70's we took to Quebec and at the border we had to take everything out of the car and open all suitcases. It was a nightmare. Thank you for another great video.
