Blackpink is probably one of the most English speaking groups and this combined with their cool style makes them very western friendly and accessible. 3/4 members are fluent in English. Rose was born in New Zeland and grew up in Australia giving her an adorable Aussie accent which was on full show here lol, Jenny is Korean but lived and studied in New Zealand for 5 years when she was young, Ino it didn't show in this video but you can find clips where she has a really strong New Zealand accent when talking English, Lisa is Thai with a Swiss father (although I can't place her accent when she talks English) and Jisoo is the only none English speaker (but she tries her hardest)!

Fun fact: when jennie was a trainee in YG, she was training to be a vocalist but then YG and other mentors noticed that she can speak english faster than other trainees so they decided to make jennie a rapper so told her to practice rapping since then. Now she's a machine gun. 😂

She was born in New Zealand and after 8 years she moved to Australia, she lived there 8 years as well and then went to Korea and you know the rest of the story.

Those videos of them cooking and eating was from their show Blackpink House. There’s multiple seasons of them living in a pink house, traveling, cooking, shopping etc. You could react to the episodes but there’s quite a lot so you decide lol. Btw, Jisoo has been in a couple dramas as an extra or just a small role. So she really is the best actor in the group. She was also in a lot of videos with a male group called iKON.

Lisa can speak a little bit of chinese now. Jisoo is the only one who can't speak english before but can understand and now she has improved a lot. Rosé was born in New Zealand and then moved to Australia and as she says English was her first languange. Jennie just what she said she lived in New zealand to study that's why she speaks well in english.

I'm INSANELY late but I just wanted to tell you that Rose never said English was her first language. Korean is. Her parents spoke to her in Korean and she only spoke Korean at home until she was like 4 or 5 (Whenever they start school in NZ) So, even thought Rose spoke English at a very young age, Korean is still technically her first language (She's said this before)

as you have seen from this video, Actually All of them know how to speak english, yes they’re Korean ,(except for Lisa because she’s originally from Thailand) but Jennie lived in New Zealand, Rosé is from Australia and Jisoo learned from them, since Lisa is from Thai she had to study korean and english, they helped each other and study these languages ofcourse , (they also know more languages like Japanese, its like kinda required cuz they even have japanese versions of their songs) they’re mulilingual queens 💖

Rosie and Lisa get along really well mostly because they are of the same age and also because they know the struggle and hardship of having to leave behind their home countries to pursue their dreams. Lisa was born in Thailand and has a Swiss step-father, where she was able to learn English. Rose was born in New Zealand but moved to Australia. Both Jennie and Jisoo were born in Korea, whereas Jennie moved to New Zealand for a few years and came back to Korea to be a singer.
