Yeah you were a bit lucky about the KZbin algorithm. I have seen all three videos you uploaded a few hours ago.
@kaitlyn-gracesmith79233 жыл бұрын
There is no such thing as luck with the algorithm just statistics...basically everyone who was presented this video when it was first uploaded watched it all the way through and or seemed to enjoy it so the algorithm deemed it an entertaining video (I dont know if you care but im just in the mood to talk about things I love)
@beetmacol21263 жыл бұрын
@@kaitlyn-gracesmith7923 the videos were public for a good amount of time and KZbin decided to recommend them after a few months. I've seen a few good quality videos that never really became so popular. Yeah it was selected because people liked to watch the entire video and probably shared it with others, so KZbin decided to recommend it themselves, but it was relatively lucky that the process even started. Also do you mean you love KZbin or the algorithm lol?
@chromosundrift2 жыл бұрын
@@beetmacol2126 @GracefullKait you're both right. There is luck because it depends on the audience youtube decides to recommend the videos to but it's not merely random as statistics is used (although if it's fancy statistics you can call it data science or ML). Videos require enough watch time to get statistically significant data on who it should recommend to and the whole channel needs enough videos and views for it to bother suggesting it. Whenever it decides to recommend a video, there are countless others it could have chosen to recommend, some of which have already proven success. So it's a dynamic system with feedback loops and chaotic potential, deterministic but not necessarily precisely macro-predictable.

ever heard of web assembly? you can write anything in any language, compile it to WASM, and it will run in any modern browser! (Fireship also made a great 100sec vid on it if you wanna learn more)
@NateLevin3 жыл бұрын
WebAssembly doesn't solve all the problems he has in the video, since WebAssembly can't really "do" anything by itself. To get WebGL rendering out of it, you still have to write a lot of javascript bindings and WebGL code.

@@NateLevin emscriptem takes care of translating opengl to webgl, besides wrapping many other libraries that are commonly used in C.
