Take a little advice your battery shelf is awesome however u need to inclose the batteries in a sealed container with a vent to the outside of the hull otherwise the fumes will rust the interior of ur hull in short orde, been there done that

As a custom builder myself I always appreciate how other people approach their own challenges. Sometimes I learn something and sometimes I cringe. Either way, I am SO thankful for this KZbin platform! It's my only source of entertainment other than my own projects. I can't wait to see where this project goes. Subscribed.

Amazing how wooden surfaces visually make a room warmer. When you showed the finished shelf installed, I thought your below decks room looks way more comfortable. More so after you put those floor planks on - even though they take away more headroom of course. Maybe consider a little trolley below decks to help you move stuff forward or aft without ruining your back?

Hi, there are specific high thrust propellers for outboard motors. If you don't already have them equipped it's probably a cheap way to get "more power". Also the batteries should be placed inside a battery tray. If they ever should explode or boil you don't want to have fluid in your bilge.
@soniclab-cnc Жыл бұрын
I was saying the same thing... lead acid battery should be in a rubber pan.
@okiedoke6373 Жыл бұрын
@@soniclab-cnc rubber would be eaten by the sulfuric acid you would have to have polypropylene or polyethylene to resist the Aston

Looking good, one comment on your plank floor. If it was me, I would cut half of those first boards to end 1 section/metal strip earlier than the others and add another wood strip there for securement. this would allow you to alternate where each board ends and yield a stronger and better looking floor without the solid lines across at the end of each section of planks. A similar method but with many different lengths is used when laying down hardwood floors etc.

Was wondering what you had planned for the underside of the barge? Some shimming and planning for the planks. Or trim the underside of the steel door. Off gray/white paint plus led lights. Looking good. Additional solar panels, maybe a wind vane? Some maintenance on starboard engine and batteries for bow truster.

The stakes you are using to fix the location of your boats, are referred to as 'Spuds", usually used by dredges, to hold themselves in place to use either an excavator, or like a friend of mine did, a Loader Backhoe, on a small barge. Best wishes from Northern Canada.

Awesome project, subscribed and wish you all the best. Very very minor point of feedback: I felt my anxiety levels spiking for no reason during the interior scenes because of the slightly unsettling darker industrial background music. Like I went from feeling super chilled and into the project then from minutes ~7-15 it's edge of the seat impending doom.
