there seems to be misunderstanding about the PAID LIVE STREAM I mention at the end 😅. To clearify: it would be IN ADDITION to the free videos on youtube, NOT AS REPLACEMENT. My videos will remain free and accessible to everyone. But I'm CONSIDERING to maybe start an additional pillar of content in form of a weekly live stream for those who are interested. The reason for this is very simple: it takes me too much time to produce a single "normal" video as I'm doing everything on my own. For this "new format" I've started to work with a camera person (not my wife btw) who needs to be paid. Long term it would be great to have an editor and maybe a music producer, as this it taking most of my time. In order to finance this I need to come up with new revenue streams. It is a very natural transition which most KZbin Channels need to go through. I hope you can accept this as a natural development of my existence on youtube. Thanks and see you soon 🥲

At minute 16:00; check the starboard outboard. The water stream indicating the water pump is working is not as strong as the stream on the port engine (see video). Your impeller may be slightly damaged or there is some blockage of the tube. On my engines, I would get bugs inside the tube if the boat was unused for any time.

in Louisiana the barges and houseboats have similar spuds on the sides of the boat that go down into the mud, much easier than an anchor pole in the middle of the boat.

Thats a lot of big speakers for a boat. There was a guy who had a big setup on his houseboat in Canada. Lot of noise for people trying to enjoy a peaceful day at anchor. The guy and the other musicians didn't care. About three months after he started, he had to get a recovery company to get his boat off the bottom. He learned nothing, the following year his boat burned and sunk.

You might want to invest in a galvanic tester to make sure there is not stray current leaking off the hull. Some of the cheaper inverters do not properly isolate shore power ground from dc ground or other hull bonded grounds.

Looks like you really should mount several mooring cleats around the perimeter of the barge so you can tie up more easily and securely. Another swing out crane arm in the front with a winch wouldn't hurt either. A nice manual differential chain hoist would work very nice for your pole anchor. It doesn't unspool on you if you have to let go, allowing a single person to use it and it is light enough to remove and be stowed out of the way when not in use.

Find an aircraft junkyard. Find the vertical tail rudder ball screw assembly. Find one that is long enough from deck to ceiling. Add a couple of round steel tube telescoping extensions which have the through bolt concept. Lower the two sleeves, the ball screw will then be actuated to piece the river bottom. These aircraft parts won't rust and you might have to add a 110 vac motor to drive the ball screw. You might even consider using the ball screw to actuate the extensions as well.

Hi from Russia. It's a great pleasure that You revealed the purpose of Your project with this barge. Although, I do suggest You to change the exterior of the barge. What are my suggestions about concept and design? First of all, to have a full-year plastic or glass music hall and cafe, based on Your barge. Not only summer time. Also, if You will manage not plain, but 2-angled roof with big sun batteries and water tank making hot water directly from sun and from sun panels, it will become ecologically reliable. Also You can add some small electrical engines, getting power from the sun panels. And it's a good plan for ecological energy, isn't it?

don't know if you ever watched Bering Sea gold, they have a dredge that digs goals in the ocean and them things that they sent down just like you have it is called a spud,, check it out if you ever have time also it's a pretty good television series if you like that stuff, I would recommend straight above that spud you for a ring forgot the name of it but it has threads on one side and a circle put one of them right above that spud that way you can put a chain on it and put your Come along. On it and pull it up straight sometimes they really get stuck depending on the ground if you put it into Clay you're going to have a battle pulling it up. That's why I say you put a ring above it where your come along will click right into and it be very easy to pull straight up just trying to give you an idea body love your videos just wish you was making more of them but that's life

You were "Ferry gliding" on the anchor. The other way to deploy your anchor would be to tie up alongside the other boat. Then tie your anchor onto the bow of your little boat with a short rope. You reverse straight out until its tight and ferry glide left or right until you are where you want to be. Then cut the line to release the big anchor while still reversing so it's tight. It will plummet down in an ark still tight and immediately bite into the mud. Then you can crank on it a little from the big boat to increase the bite if you need to. Concrete weighs only 60% when it's under water so it's not a great weight for anchors and is heavier as you try to lift it out. But it would be fine for what you were doing. In reality a heavy length of chain from your anchor is best and you seem to have it already.

Really, mate you have got more anchors on that barge than on an ocean going ship, I think you would be far better sorting out two good anchors front and back that can be remotely operated from your helm. As for that central peg, I’d get rid of that as it’s an accident looking for somewhere to happen, look at the trouble you and your mate had getting it up and then multiply that by an enclosed space with stuff in it, it’s a no brainer.
