disclaimer, I never judge Moms, ever...but you presented a few "questions" in your video that prompted a response.... I am writing in response to your video. To be honest, I started watching your channel because I was a woman of color living in East Asia with a child. My child is older now, but I sometimes continue watching. You have freer ideas than I do. For example, you and your girls dress far less conservatively than I allow my daughter to dress because I know what can happen to a Black-presenting girl who moves freely throughout the world. You went to SKY! That is a huge accomplishment. Yonsei is an almost impossible feat. I hope you find a way, any way, to move back to Korea and take your kids and husband with you. It is far more healthier (and beleive it or not diverse, than where you live for Blasian kids. Don't let imposter syndrome get you. Remember who you are. I noticed the quality of your videos was higher when you were in Korea and you seemed more confident and relaxed. Have a beautiful and happy life.

Jesus can help you. But go asap for faster results. Find a christian orthodox church and confess and talk to a priest, if he allowes take the Holy Eucharisty. I had depression, my father died, bullied in school, family problems and this saved me Also try to go as often as you can at this church liturghy. Let me tell you this is the only receipt for great results. Try to talk to a christian orthodox priest fast😊

Yes, that’s exactly how I feel Lily. I don’t want to exercise with a bunch of people! I found a small gym a few months ago with shiny new equipment and a pricey membership fee that keeps subscriptions low. I decided to try it out, and I absolutely love it! It’s not financially sustainable though, but while it lasts, I’m soaking in every minute! On a crowded day, I’ll see about five people. I started because I had the same issue. Studying online and spending most of the day sitting caused me to put on about 25 extra pounds and when I look at my body, I just don’t feel like myself.

Hey, have you tried a ladies gym? See if there’s one in your area. If you can find one, it really really made me a lot more comfortable with working out. It was a game changer for me. Might work for you too

Lily you're doing AMAZING!! You can do it all but just remember that you don't have to get it done at the same time. You're prioritizing and getting to the things that you can. If you can't do 10,000 steps and you only do 2,000, that's great because you did something. That's better than nothing and it ALL counts towards your goal. Keep up the hard work! I just found your page. As a woman in STEM in the US, I just want to say... WHOOOOOO! You go girl! I'm always hype to see other women winning and pursuing their goals. You can use a standing desk and do some yoga workouts in the morning. Being a wife, mom, student, and working can take a toll on your physical and mental health. It takes 10-15 minutes in the morning or before bed o get a little stretch and/or workout in. I downloaded the Me app to help whip me back into shape when i was in school. I wasn't very consistent but it still helped big time. Good luck on your journey.

Kudos to Chris for assembling the treadmill so Lily can use it safely. Lily,10,000 steps is the target as long as you are improving each day, you are making progress. Work up to 10K steps so you don't burn out juggling mom life, student life, youtube content creator life and now wife life. Consistency and continuous improvement will help you reach your goals. Awe that’s so awesome! You’re kind of inspiring me to try to go for an Associate in graphic art. But, I already have a Bachelor’s in Film :/ Congratulations 🎊 Keep going, keep fighting! And I’m also Blasian (black/chinese), and I danced for 14 years. I also quit dance after feeling burnt out due to all the extra curriculum I was in (Choir, 4-H, Color Guard, Art Honors, etc.) And if you want any indoor home exercise suggestions, I personally watch GrowwithJo and lost 10 lbs last year doing her videos! But haha I got distracted reading webtoon and wasn’t consistent 😂 I will try again later lol

I understand how you feel Lily. I use to pay a pricey membership fee then I decided if I can pay a membership fee I can invest in home equipment by "THE GRACE OF THE MOST HIGH YAH". I bought all my equipment one piece at a time. I got a bike first, then the treadmill, the the rowing machine, then a bowflex. I bought a personal sauna that will be delivered Monday. I now have everything the gym had. Keep going Lily!

Exactly. No one is perfect. If you can’t reach 10k steps at least you have done something. Losing weight is not about the exercise it is about what you put and nourish your body with . All doctors tell you this. Increase the greens and vegetables and you will be fine. Studying takes a lot out of you so the nutrients is even more important. All the best Lily will your endeavours. Looks like Jaeyoung is coming to the same conclusions that her ex had, except it’s not coming from a derogatory source. James would always say she needed to develop herself, however the message wasn’t received because it was coming from a person who was trying to constantly put her down. The truth is the two had just become toxic towards each other. And while there’s a lot to be left unsaid about Chris, the truth is he doesn’t hate Jaeyoung. Her previous relationship had gotten to a point of deep dislike for each other, apathy almost. And it’s great to see growth in her again, because together they were tearing each other down.

I taught science in Seoul for several years. Although I didn’t pick up the language as well as I would have liked, ….. my daughter did. I miss KOREAN food! Sometimes I don’t know why I left … but I wanted to travel. I’m proud of all your education! If you ever want to teach at American schools in Korea etc… you have already done most of the work. However, you should take Praxis teaching exams or whatever is equivalent to the California CBEST. and get some experience….. otherwise they won’t hire. Best wishes!

As long as you're consistent, it'll be fine. Don't force more on yourself than needed. When it comes to exercise, turn it into a mini game that you do for 15 minutes a day monday-friday.

Don’t call a kid ugly. If the behavior is ugly, you have to say the behavior is ugly and not talk about a child’s appearance. Just talk to the mom. I have 2 kids too and I would never call another kid ugly. You’re not accomplishing anything.

일주일째 독감 앓으며 누워있다가 릴리님 비디오도 쭉 보고 있는데, 저보다 7살? 밖에 안 많으신데 아이 둘 키우고 파이팅 넘치게 사시는거 너무 대단하다고 느꼈어요. 길어지는 독감에 점점 느끼는 무능감에 힘들어 하고 있었는데 그런 대단한 분도 또 새로운 도전을 하고, 당연히 초반이라 힘들 수 밖에 없는데 솔직하게 표현하시고 또 노력하시는 모습이 멋집니다.. 위로도 받았어요. 저는 미국은 아니지만 유럽에서 공부하고 사업하고 있는데 사업에서도 항상 새로운 것들을 배우면 재밌으면서도 쉽지 않네요. 저도 한국에서부터 공부가 제일 쉬웠었는데 그러면서도 여전히 많은 것들이 어려워서 언제까지 매번 힘들 것인지 싶은 순간이 계속 오는 것 같아요. 사실 인생에선 그게 당연한 건데... 항상 겸손한 마음으로 성실히 살아야 겠어요. 공감도 가고, 응원도 하고 싶어서 댓글 적기 시작했는데, 스스로에게 하고 싶은 말들이었던 것 같기도 해요. 정말 사랑스러운 가족이에요. 영상 잘 보고 있습니다.. 오늘도 화이팅.. 항상 건강 유의하세요!

Yonsei is literally one of the top 3 universities in SK. You are super smart. Honestly studying is super easy for me. I am not good at anything but academics. I just graduated and wish I was back in college. Looking for a job now but I feel so nervous and it was easier getting A+ in my classes than finding a job that I want to do long term and stressing about my future

If you have a desk or standing desk, you can work/study while stepping which can help you reach your goal, try other things like parking further from the grocery store so you have to walk and you will start to hit your goal without even trying
