I wonder why they raised the key in the movie? Cynthia is totally capable of hitting a low E... she's hit a D3 multiple times live on her song "stand up" like its nothing so idk. Maybe it sits nicer on her voice

Rumor I read somewhere was that this was Stephen Schwartz’s original key that was then lowered for Idina, so probably his preference?

It’s also not just about Cynthia being able to hit a note. It’s about finding the key that tells the story the best, and what compliments Cynthia’s tone. The tempo was also slowed down
