When I could still travel, I remember many of the places you visited, still incredibly beautiful. I know it must be difficult for you as it would be for anyone, but I feel absolutely terrible about Natalie. I wish you the best, and as the video stated, no feeling is final. Fellow Brit here....fellow 110 owner (although I have the TD5) I know you mentioned you've made some decisions, coming in the next video, but I hope you've decided to carry on with the adventures and continue with the very cool videos. We need them..!! I'll be home there in Vegas in early October if you're around, and the beers will be on me, if you are..! (In England right now) The Vanlife lifestyle is a massive test of any relationship mate, and these things do happen. We can make all the plans in the world but sometimes life has plans of its own. If you don't know what to do yet, do nothing. Something will come along and help you make your choice. What you are doing will be your memories for the rest of your life. Look at all the comments on here and see all the support that is there for you. Take comfort from that and good luck x

Hey Matt, really sorry to hear about the issues you are having. Its good news that the Defender issue should be just an intercooler hose... If you can, keep going, America is a beautiful country and you have Canada and Mexico, just over the boarders. This is a trip of a lifetime! Lets hope you make it happen. You said you wanted your trip to influence someone. Well, I love your defender internal camper build and am in the process of converting my 2012 Defender using your build as a base template. I have taken inspiration from lots other overland builds but your's looks practical but homely and suits my needs. Once the build is completed, ill do a few trips here in Australia, to check I can live in it long term then would love to drive to Europe but with the present geo political challenges, lets see where the worlds is and what routes are achievable.... Good luck mate and hope you continue.... Looking forward to your next uploads to see what you decide. 🤞

If it was easy it wouldnt be worth doing… I watch these vids coz I love vanlife and I love your sincerity and down to earth Britishness. I’m a Brit too. I would be doing the same as you but after a pretty horrific divorce I have to be around for my kids for a few years.. if you do end up back in the UK and drive by Brum stop over at mine and we can sink some beers…. You’ll meet more people travelling solo and make some amazing memories.. maybe post on the vanlife and overlanding pages and see if you can do a meet up…. And as always… Just Keep On Going!! Sorry to hear this. I was seriously contemplating buying an old Defender in order to do a European trip but I’m very apprehensive after hearing about your breakdown. I watched a previous video of yours and you mentioned that you spent £80k on it. Would I be right in thinking that you will do an engine swap and start again?

@@ogotuwaobuto5366 mate do not be put off! Do it 🚙💪 ALL vehicles have issues. Ours was a simple breakdown (intercooler hose) I promise you, you will have the best time. Watch our Morocco videos to see if you want to go there while you are in the EU. It’s the best place I’ve ever been to overland. Defenders get a bad rep but the truth is they all have issues. I’ve just driven through the hottest desert on earth with no issues 😎🚙💪

Dude you came to far to turn back and go home, continue the journey without Natalie sorry but she was a airhead anyway to leave, make your trip a documentary video you will get more people subscribe to your channel, people don't subscribe to video if you have the camera in your face , they are interested in the defender and the places you visit not looking at you face all the time. every time the camera in you face I fast forward your video.

I saw this time and again in Aussie, that couples split up. It is usually the female partner that goes home, i personally can't put myself in Natalie shoes nor are we here to judge her. As a female i had the best time overlanding for 3.5 years around the world. The daily change might be too much for her without the comforts of home. Send her a big hug from us. Why don't you advertise for a travel partner?. Ring X Overland in Montana. There are so many of us, that overland.
