Lots of things about this one that aren't for me, but I'm chuffed that you really like it.

Stuff the haters. This watch looks good. I mean really good. It’s distinctive and classy, and you don’t see a lot of them. I’ll bet that ends up a long term keeper. No buyers remorse. Good.

Agreed. I own the 747 Community Watch and have no issue with your assessment, straight up. I love this watch though, even with all the short fallings. Surprisingly, to me, whenever I'm in the UK it's the only watch I get compliments on. I would say Bremont is a very much recognized brand in the UK from this.

Nice one. The QC is quite surprising though.

Agreed, unacceptable at that price

Imperial Watch has a GMT with a similar coloured bezel. It also has a nicely tapering bracelet with on the fly micro adjustment for about 15% of the cost and the 20mm lug width will fit any normal strap. Amazing to me the lugs are so long and they still put the holes too close to the case…

To some of the comments from people that have never owned this line of watches, I have as well as the BB58 which basically has a far better movement / heritage / brand recognition. The Bremont has a tough unique case / beautiful crown (smoothest winding) / sharp engravings / bezel. The Tudor has a better dial / movement / brand / heritage but is nowhere near as robust. The Tudor when taken off the bracelet feels rough / unfinished between the lugs, the case materials on the Tudor are very cheap and I knocked about both watches and the Tudor’s movement failed after a small knock against the wall. The tudor’s dial and bracelet are far superior. My point is people often compare Bremont to watches that cost 25% of the price but really they should be compare price wise to Breitling rather than a Christopher Ward. Can’t be compared to micro brands either because you have a full service centre / boutiques and manufacturing facility

The QC is surprising because i have owned a couple of them over the years and found that aspect to be a lot better than a brand like CW, for example. One thing i dont think you mentioned in your review is their case hardening technology, which is similar to Sinn, but supposedly harder.

Been looking at this exact model for some time now. Really like it but not willing to pay full RRP in the UK.

I haven't really considered Bremont before, but it does look like a nice watch to me. I find the colors quite attractive (despite the odd choice with the date wheel), I like the size, the movement, the unusual case design that seems to be more than a gimmick, the bracelet looks comfy (I agree beads of rice would suit it). Disappointing about the cleanup job needed inside, but that's totally fixable and you did get a discount. It's a very nice watch IMO. Thanks for the show & tell with it. 👍

Never been a fan of their models and heard they were not worth retail but value for money 2nd hand, although their rebrand has made them even less desirable to me

Agreed. Not sure about the direction the new CEO is taking the company. They should not be dis-owning their short history but embracing it! Hate the new logo!!!!

It surprises me about the poor QC on this watch. I have the Broadsword Recon which is my first and only Bremont watch. I've found the quality to be superb (although admittedly I dont have a macro lense!). Thanks for the review.

Good looking watch but maybe Bremont should have focused less on the packaging the watch came with and more on details on the products. I can see why Bremont is struggling. This is a very competitive price point. For me I would consider several alternative watches with better movements and are better executed.

How does this compare to Fears?
@CasualWatchReviews6 ай бұрын
The fit, finish and overall package, the Fears is better I would say. But they are two different watches. the fears is more of a dressy sports watch.
@thegorn6 ай бұрын
I'd go Farer or even CW over Bremont and Fears. Although I have never experienced a Fears so don't know if there's any...tears for Fears.

Not a big fan of them, It does look good. Have a similar Islander with a Selita 330, down side but doesn't effect me, not a big traveler. Keep the GMT hand on Central European time.

My AD has one on blue rubber but its still £3,250.....at £2.5 I might consider this over a BB blue (used) which is my current target. Dissapointing about the lume tho......
@TinBin-Craig6 ай бұрын
nice watch but no way id pay that kind of cash for a Bremont with them qc issue
@watchnorthlondon6 ай бұрын
At that price the dial should be perfect and without fault, the bracelet should taper and adjust and what's more it should be a slinky thing of beauty, It should be the work of moments to attach a strap, it should have brilliant lume., the date should actually fit inside the aperture and have some design flair. Without these things; surely better off with a nice mid range Seiko for half the price.

Using a unidirectional bezel with a 24 hour/GMT insert is careless and lazy. The previous S302 model was a dive watch (timing bezel), with a GMT complication- and that makes a lot of sense. Most recreational divers take their dive trips away from their home time zone. But the decision to keep the unidirectional bezel while pivoting the S302 to feature the 2 time zone capability was one of the first indicators revealing where the Davide Cerrato era is headed.

I am checking out the U-2 DLC but still hesitant about the reliability of the watch hence that model was released way back in 2015 i think. Any suggestion or comment about the watch. Thank you!
@CasualWatchReviews3 ай бұрын
2015 in terms of mechanical watches reliability is like yesterday... You can measure watch movements in whisky years as opposed to technology years. A 2015 iPhone is ancient, a 2015 whisky is just coming to age. A watch got nominated for a GPHG award last year with a movement that was tooled on machines the Swiss sold to the Chinese in the 1980s so I wouldn't worry about it

Bremont just recently destroyed their brand with their new product line and logo.
@flyingspeedtriple4 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, I agree with you. I know changes were needed, but the new direction is flawed! Horrible generic new logo as a starting point! Love the old logo. I think the new CEO is trying to follow the Breitling example - trying to distance themselves from purely the aviation genre. However, Breitling had heritage to draw from whereas Bremont doesn't.

Good review but I have never seen a Bremont that I felt compelled to buy and this watch hasn’t changed that. I once sat in an AD who brought out 6 Bremonts and spent half an hour trying to convince me how great Bremont watches are. I still bought the Omega. Glad you like this watch but Bremont are way overpriced in my option. No better than Longines or Tudor and far less appealing.

Confusing bezel/24 dial for a diver, no quick release on bracelet, curved spring bars (WHY!!), no tapering on bracelet...beautiful design but at $4k+ this is far too faulty.

The problem with Bremont is their lack of a recognizable design language. The British watch company leading the pack is C. Ward. THAT's who we should be focusing on.

I actually joke about this on the lifestream when I wear this watch... its a British company, Brits mostly say the 'T' in words... in fact I'm from the North of England we have a habit of adding an extra 'T' into words or just using the 'T' as opposed to a full word... if you know, you know!
