Bullet train experience in China is definitely next level experience not only because of its speed but also for its management and operations. Human behaviours is China is quite polite at the same time security in China is quite prompt as well as co operative enough.

I first visited China in 1998, they already had a good train system but no bullet train at that time. Recently I visited China again last month and I took the bullet train from Chengdu to Xian. I am very impressed by their current train system, facilities, efficiency, comfort and professionalism. Their trains are new and well maintained. The stations, platforms and walkways are vast and spacious. They are much better than those I experienced in Taiwan and Japan. Everything was built big-scale because they have the space. Can’t wait to get back to China again.

their train stations are big not because they have the space. they built them big because of holiday crowd in mind. their metro stations are standardized because they have the available data on hand based on past built. the local authority only need to provide projected riders, route, number of stations, type of carriage, and CRCC has the experienced engineers, laborers, and equipment to get it done fast and efficient. the station design is customized.

China's large-scale infrastructure ranks first in the world. The disadvantages of democratic elections are: (1) long-term planning is impossible, (2) even if it is planned, it will never be built. In the United States, the time spent arguing about a railway is often many times that spent on the construction in China. Various consulting companies can earn this money forever, even though the project has never started.

China has improved and advanced by leaps and bounds. They have superb train stations and shopping malls, all built big-scale with the latest designs and technology, superseding the first world countries. I recently visited China and am truly amazed by their development and modernisation, a far cry from the time when I first visited China in 1998. China is going to be the leading country in the next decade.

When I was in China about 5 yrs ago, the high speed train I took from Shanghai to Beijing was already operating at 350km/h I believe. The Hayabusa HS train between Tokyo and Aomori is also fast, bust still only max out at 320km/h. So the fastest HS train is still in China (not Japan as you've stated) and now in Indonesia also at 350km/h, which incidentally was built by China too. and started operating recently. Do note that operating speed carrying passengers and max speed it can go are 2 different things. The one that is important actually should be the speed at which it cans safely carry passengers from Pt A to Pt B.

You should have visited Chongqing. You would have loved the city. Some information that may help you: The train in which you travelled, was CR400BF series (Fuxing Hao). The numeric 400 denotes the top speed of the train, but operationally they run at 350 km/hr. On the Beijing-Xi'an line, they routinely run at 353 km/hr. In Japan, Shinkansen is operated at maximum 320 km/hr (N700 or E5 series). China has already tested a (conventional) high speed train whose top speed is 450 km/hr and operational speed would be 400 km/hr. They have tested a Maglev train of 600 km/hr speed.

Yes you are right. We as democratic country face a lot of problems when it comes to innovation and implementation. Normally the opposition political parties will try and criticize whatever you do just like Vande Bharat. More so we do not have land mass as compared to China though we have beaten them in population. Getting land approved for laying tracks is also very difficult. But whatever you say China has gone leaps and bounds when it comes to infrastructure.

@@thecomment9489There is alot of difference in democracy in those countries and In India, Almost every year there are elections in different states. They are small countries, India is a big country with many states with multiple Ideologies and political parties. As Indian youth is getting educated they came to realized that socialism can feed politicians not general public. India seriously wasted 55-60 years after Independence because of this socialism. In India state and center Governments have divided their works, Center mainly focus on Foreign relations, main changes in law and brings reforms, in infrastructure- center focuses on National Highways and Railways etc. Rest of all is under state government, it's state government responsibility to make local roads, ensure people are getting electricity, water etc. I want to quote some words of a Member of Parliament belonging to so called left wing, socialist and equality giving political party ruling one of Indias worst, unsafe, poorest state, he said- "A common will eat food or Roads".. in Indian Parliament. He literally said building Infrastructure is wastage.. give food to people.. Meanwhile he is not even providing food to people of his state.. he is ruling that state from long time.. and recently a bridge worth of ₹1700 Crore feel down, and It was in brand new condition.. Not even a cycle passed from it.. reason- corruption.. and one more thing he said- "When a guy marry, when he do(talking about s*x), he pulls out or not(talking about P*nis)" in state legislative assembly.. and Central Government distributes tax payers money to states on the behalf of population and That state is one of the most populated state, that state receive 7 times more money than it gave to Central Government, and most developed state in India receives very little amount of money from center because of its less population.. If That poor state gives $100 USD to center it receives $700 USD, still Zero growth, all those money goes to pockets of that state. Meanwhile Indias richest state if gives $100 USD it receives only $7 USD back. And last reason is reservation of some communities in education and Government sectors jobs. They will hire a person scoring 40%, but not 90% because of this reservation. Did you understand why India is still developing?

@@gauravsharma_7 I really hope that your ridiculous write up is not part of any thesis you are doing. Of course arguments and excuses are always ready with lots of Indians. China has HSD because it is autocracy. When other countries are pointed out who also have HSR and "not authoritarian" then this write up comes. Simple answer is Indians sucukk at nation building. Period. And you have no idea what socialism is.

China's high-speed trains have spread to almost every small county in the country. They are everywhere. Japan's fastest operating speed is 320km per hour, and China's is 350km per hour. It is the fastest train in the world. Japan is very small, only equivalent to China. The area of the province is not even as large as some provinces. China is three times larger than India, and of course the scale is larger. The coastal provinces are no different from developed countries, but transportation prices are much cheaper than in the West.

You can buy a ticket, both reserved and non-reserved, for Shinkansen (bullet train) at ticket vending machines at any major railroad stations in Japan. You can make a reservation one month in advance. Foreigners don't have to show their passports. It's like riding a commuter bus. Recently a big earthquake hit the Hokuriku district of Japan, but the Hokuriku Shinkansen was not damaged. I wonder if Chinese bullet train system is earthquake-proof.
