Elise, when I was 40, I made a big life decision to get divorced. I was second-guessing my choice, but I knew things couldn’t go on as they were. I called my Grandma, and she said, “ Honey, you are young enough and beautiful enough for your fresh start”. Those words were like a bright shaft of sunlight pouring out of a break in the clouds. She was right. It took about a year, but I got that fresh start. I’m going to say this to you, Elise: “ Honey, you are young enough and beautiful enough for your fresh start”. You aren’t a failure. You tried something, it didn’t work, and you’re moving on with your life. You shed your old apartment with the moldy bathroom, and now you’re going to shed the excess things that are holding you back, and I know there is something amazing just waiting for you to turn the corner! The clothes are just things. Your health and your happiness and your family are priceless. I am super proud of you! For anyone else reading this who could use a little gentle encouragement, my Grandma had her fresh start at 85 years old, lived another 7 years in great contentment and peace, as the most beautiful woman I’ve ever known. It is never too late to be young enough and beautiful enough for your fresh start.

Dear Elise just to say .... been there and done that...with similar feelings and thoughts, learning more about myself in the process and also growing in my gratitude even in the challenging moments. I also grew in my wonderful companion relationship, our Father in Heaven, 😇, He helped me learning in His peaceful and loving teacher. And challenges became a training for better moments ahead. Your art and love for many things is your key to newer and better moments ahead. I also learned that tomorrow won’t be a good one unless I make today being a special one. Keep up with your hopes and as many have told you, you have a long time ahead💫🎉💝

I am old enough to be your grandma. YOU are not a failure. the ones who made you feel as though you had to call your family to escape in the middle of the night with your belongings are the ones who failed you. crying IS allowed. it is a pressure release for the tension, sadness, and grief you are feeling. stick close and lean on your family and friends. you got this. you are the sun and this event is just a mere eclipse. you will be shining bright before you know it

If the break you had to make had to be done in the middle of the night, very quickly, with the immediate help of your family, that is conclusive proof that you have made the absolute right decision. You have made the right decision. Take all the time to process things that you need. It may not feel like it right now, but this is the beginning of being in a good place and it is so great that you have such a lovely family who are there for you as you rebuild.

You haven’t failed at anything! You saw a unique and special opportunity, and you grabbed for it! If you want to grow and develop, that’s what we do! No matter the outcome, it’s more about the journey & what it teaches us. Give yourself time to grieve and time to heal, and never stop grabbing for the next adventure!💞🙏🎄

@@kellyrobin718 Kelly, you are SO right! I had an epiphany when I was 51 when I found myself in a shocking situation that I wasn’t prepared for. As I waded through everything that had changed so dramatically, I found myself looking back at my life and realized, for the first time, that all the tough times ultimately ended up changing my life for the better. Sometimes the change was obvious right away and I could see that my prayers were answered. But a lot of the time it took much longer than I expected, and I didn’t realize that my prayers HAD been answered…maybe not in the way that I expected or even understood, but they had. And having finally understood the reality of my life, I was able to trust that while whatever I’m going through may be incredibly tough, I will survive, my life will get better, and I will learn a valuable lesson! I was finally able to trust God (whichever God you worship) or fate (if you don’t believe in God) to know what’s best for me! 💞

Im finally in an nice apartment and able to see things clear ( I realized my BF was emotionally abusive ) .... he took everything from me, and he lost nothing. ( He has a 1/2 million home, 3 sports cars paid for, e.c.t. And didn't spent a dime helping me get back my home, instead he caused me to lose every single thing. ...... Honestly, I'm not sure that he is worthy of the respect that you're giving him. Maybe I’m cynical, but I had a bad feeling about the abandoned house. The people involved seemed to be taking the power and initiative you had about building/finding a home for yourself away from you. A situation like that diminishes you, and I’m glad you got out so quickly. The speed of things falling apart so quickly can feel like whiplash, but it’s a sign of your strength, not failure or a weakness, that you got out so soon. I hope when you’re ready you can move forward and create the home you always dreamed of for yourself.

I think Elise tried to see the best in people which is a beautiful thing. Unfortunately people take advantage of that especially when a woman like Elise is so motivated and powerful in her own life. I think it was incredibly controlling to buy the house, the boyfriend’s dad is old enough to know that he put Elise in an impossible position so she’d be most likely to say yes. His son didn’t sound like he was at a point of buying property and jumped on the back of Elise’s potential. I hope that when she does buy a home it’s 100% hers. If she finds the right person to share it with later, amazing. But she’s a self-made woman and she should reap the fruits of that in the stability of having her own home.

Praying for you Elise 🙏🏼. I remember commenting when you first found this house that I hoped you would still have say into what's happens even though it wasn't the way you wanted to purchase it. Whatever it maybe that's happened, know that this is temporary. I've subscribed to you for years now and have watched every video you have. And in those years I have seen you grow up into such a strong, resilient and responsible woman. You wanted a boutique, so you made it happen, even bought out your business partner and it's beautiful. You got a cabin and turned it into a fairytale summer wonderland. You will get a house when it's the right time. And you're already listening to music, that's a good sign of healing. It will take time, but it'll come. And your nephew's birthday and Christmas is on the way. Something to look forward to. Take care ♥️

I was a bit worried when his family was buying the house but you were putting in so much work (and money I'm sure). I know it may seem as if your life has blown up but better that it happens now and not later. Sounds like you have an amazing family and you have so many out here cheering you on and caring what happens to you. As many of us no longer in our 20-30s can and have attested to, when your life splits wide open, it gives you a rare opportunity to be whoever and do whatever you choose for the next chapter of your life. In the sadness and grief, I hope you can also feel the twinge of excitement at the possibilities. It will all work out and just remember--rejection is protection! Big hugs from San Diego, CA!

Oh Elise, my heart is breaking for you. I am so sorry you are hurting. I hope I am not wrong in saying this but I am so relieved that you are getting out. I had such a bad feeling about this whole situation. I didn't want to say anything discouraging because it's your decision but I felt you deserve so much better and I was sincerely scared for you. I feel it is so much for the best that this happened now instead of later. But I am so sorry you are going through this. You have so many people supporting you here and you don't owe us any explanations. You are the master of your own life. Take all the time you need to process and heal. It's a bad place to be in when others try to control our decisions even if it seems like a good decision to make. You are so vibrant and bright and creative. When you are doing things on your own terms you just glow and we can all feel the radiance. It will take time to find your way through this but I feel you are going through a powerful transformation and you will grow a lot from it. Big hugs. It's hard going through an emotional shock. I left my family, my apartment, my company, my friends to move to my husbands country (we had lived together 5 years in my country). Long story short, the biggest mistake of my life and I had to move in with my parents at 34 years old and rebuild everything again - I'm so thankful for them but of course it stings and makes you feel lost. He took everything I owned, had inherited and my beloved dog and today it's been a bit more than half a year since my divorce went through (over a year since I applied for it) and things do get a lot better, I still have only gotten a fraction what he owes me but I'm still happy. Focus on yourself, what makes you happy, your goals and get support from your family and friends.

Bravo to you for get out as quickly as you did and not sticking out longer, allowing yourself to be hurt further. I have been following your channel here for close to two years and you, dear Elise, have not failed. I have constantly been impressed by how strong, independent, and ambitious you have been. It is so refreshing to see someone at such a young age as you work so hard to fulfill a dream or a goal. You’ve lived on your own for many years; presumably paying all your own bills, you have run your own business both via brick and mortar store and on line, you purchased your own lot private, tranquil refuge by way of your cottage. You have done all things presumably on your ow; and, I don’t believe you’re even 30 yet! You are NOT a failure, not by a long shot. You will get through this and you get even stronger. You have a wonderful, supportive family. You are never alone. You will be happy again and eventually (if you desires) the right person will come along. I’m the meantime, focus on only you and what you need to be happy. You will get that sparkle in your eyes back soon, I know it. Take some time to process things; maybe take a needed trip to your cottage. There is so much you have accomplished and there is so much more ahead of! Don’t rush, tusk your time. You will be ok.hang in there and be strong!

Of course you could use these videos to prove the work you completed on the house in the event that you wanted to be compensated for the work you did. Which I strongly suggest you try to do. And the fact that you had to leave so suddenly speaks volumes. You could also charge the father for disrupting your life in such a way that it caused emotional distress to you. He shouldn't get away with any of this. I hope you're doing better now. But people like that family shouldn't be let off so easily. ❤
so this is where I live now
