السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Loving these podcasts mashallah. I was wondering if you could address the issue of parents banning their daughters from getting married until much older. Often sisters are criticised for being “feminists” and putting career first when actually it’s often because the father is refusing all suitors until she reaches a certain career stage, which doesn’t happen until late 20s/early 30s. What can sisters who want to get married earlier do when they don’t have permission from their walis? I don’t want to upset and disobey my father but if I do what he says, all brothers will refuse me for being too old. It’s so depressing to be caught between a rock and a hard place. The advice tends to be talking to him or getting older relatives involved, but this often doesn’t work when parents are adamant. Often second generation children don’t have other relatives here to help too.

@@a_musafir jazakallahu khairan for the advice. I’ve tried talking to him for a few years now and nothing is working. I have no one else in the UK to talk to him, which is an issue for many second gen children here. I am only getting older subhanallah. May Allah make it easy for us all.

People are missing the biggest issue here. She is a feminist who doesn't want kids. Either the guy shouldn't have married her in the first place or he shouldn't have allowed her to progress in her career too much. Sounds like he was too nice of a guy and didn't put his foot down

When you bless human instead of your creator and don’t invest yourself. I think that is why these marriages end. We women often need someone who has more knowledge, more financial than her and is not narcissistic or people blesser.
