Ah man.. where do I start here.. You seem like a young guy, I don't know how much experience you have with other careers.. I don't know if you have a wife or kids.. but here is why I say you'll be making a huge mistake leaving trucking assuming you got into this because you like the freedom of being on the road even local and want to earn good money. I've been in most fields in corporate America, from banking to healthcare, customer service, to management.. and the sectors I haven't been in I know people who are in them so I have a good idea of what most jobs pay, and how happy those who are in it are. 1 you're only a year in, it's going to suck esp working for the company you mentioned they are one of the worst for drivers.. not sure how much research you actually did before jumping in with them. I'm also in FL the best companies to start with are Schneider and Old Dominion if you're in FL, even Cypress trucking here in Tampa although they are flat bedding which Flay bedding and tanker will make you the most money long term. If you insist on working for these local companies like Dollar general or Frito lay fine but work directly for Dollar General and you'll make 100k a year.. get enough experience and then work for Walmart or UPS those are your absolute best options if you insist on going this specific route trucking wise will make 100k easily wifh great home time and benefits. You can eventually buy your own truck and make even more later on, decide when you want to work, choose your routes etc.. if you think you're wanting to try a different career just because of your 1st year and half experience with one of the worst companies out there for drivers than reconsider give yourself more time, try different specialties in trucking first before u make a mistake and move on to something you may or may not like, you'll just be chasing your tail and will be miserable trying to find the "perfect career" I've been there done that, hopefully you listen.

I appreciate your advice. A lot has changed since I got my CDL. For example in the beginning I was willing to grind and sacrifice as long as the money was worth it and to my surprise the pay was a lot lower than expected. Come to find out, that was normal especially when you are new. I wasn’t expecting the best job with the best company from the start cause I know experience is everything especially in this industry. But I wasn’t willing to sacrifice everything in my life for a check that wasn’t even worth it. Now I’m at the point where I want more balance in my life. I’m willing to work hard and put in the hours to make decent money but after work is done I want to be able to go home and have a life and do other things with my time. And right now I’m not able to do that with my current company/position. I don’t need to even be home daily but I’d like to get home every other day or every 2 days but that’s also not an option where I’m working now. Tbh I’d rather stay in this industry because I know there’s good money and opportunities in the industry (I’m currently looking for other trucking jobs) but I’m also looking for other options at this point because I know there’s other jobs/industries that you can make great money and still have a life after work. I have my insurance license and I know for a fact I can make what I make now and way more doing that as well. When I started I gave myself the commitment of doing this for 2 years at least to see what happens and I think I’ll be able to complete that and then decide what I’m gonna do. I’ll make future update videos about what moves I’m making.

@@MisaHidalgo Good bro, keep researching and looking at what the average driver has to say. After my comment I saw some of your other videos looks like you were doing owner operator for a moment with flat bedding.. I still think thats a great opportunity overall esp when rates come back. Insurance sucks man, I'm telling you from 1st hand experience, I've done it all.. Auto insurance, Medicare, life, obama care.. the money is there and residuals etc but you're busting your ass non stop, buying leads, marketing, chasing stupid customers who fail to follow through, constantly dealing with bs from them and getting your clients stolen by crooked agents esp out here in FL.. I wasn't lying when I said I've done everything.. but hey try it at your own risk, I just know that Trucking and KZbin, and then some realestate investing/ and stock market funds like dividends etc will give you an easier life. Looking forward to seeing the path you take. Godbless

@MotivateMe813 I agree with you. Insurance is hard but isn’t everything hard at some point? Everyone just has to find the hard that they want to live with and accept. When I first did insurance, I had a bad experience and that left a sour taste in my mouth but that experience was very company/team specific and it was a very unusual situation. What I shoulda did was try again at another company or switch teams but I made an emotional decision and left the industry altogether. I learned from that mistake which is part of the reason why I made a commitment to at least 2 years in trucking even before I got my CDL. But it seems like me and you have a similar mindset cause I also want to invest in things that produce monthly cash flow (like real estate and stocks) and keep making content as well. I think everything will work out. Just gotta not get complacent.
