I was in a military convoy here stateside many moons ago I was driving a duece an half cargo, had a car playing games with me, What he didn't know was load I was carrying was considered a secure load. We were told not to let anything stop us (police cars in every town stopped traffic for us ) Captain seen what was going on and had his driver fall back to me and said get rid of him. Guy in the car cuts me off again about 3 miles up the road and I grab 4th high and hit the gas, (35mph ) knocked him right into the ditch. Captain radioed for MPs to come check it out, thats all I was told. scratched my bumper dammit! But it ruined me when I came back to civilian life, I couldn't start driving truck after I had the satisfaction of giving an idiot some payback with no repercussions.

i only did it once to a truck that was tailgating me on a two lane road at night. i was doing the speed limit so i guess he wanted to go 80 and for me to drive on the shoulder and let him pass, which i may have done in the daytime. i slowed him to nothing and left his ass sitting at the bottom of a hill. i was younger and dumber then, probably wouldn't do it now.

When my Dad taught me to drive when I was 16, the first lesson was - you always yield the right away to a trucker, always slow down and let them merge safely & if their turn signal stays on a and they have cleared you, blink your brights so they know you’re giving them the room to merge safely. Then he took me out on the major highways near Cleveland Ohio during rush hour and at night and he first demonstrated to me the correct way and then made me do it night after night and day after day. I have always had the utmost respect for truck drivers and I continue to drive the same way I was taught at the age of 16.

The most amazing thing I ever had was I installed two electric actuators to automatically open my tool box lid. I had a 52" 300W LED light bar installed so I could park my trailer at night and see the stupid thing in the booneys. One day inwas heading to a job with trailer in tow and the road merged from 2 to 1 this idiot in a mustang tried flying past me on the right but the lane ended to soon and I didnt let him in since it would have put me into oncoming. We get to a light and he is slamming his horn, flicking me off the works. I just flipped the switch opened the lid and gave him a light show. Light turned green I shut the lid and drove on my wayward son. It's the little things in life.

Thanks for the commentary - that's a real good addition to these vids. I try not to ever ride up on anyone ahead of me, just keep to the old rule I was taught as a young driver: one car distance ahead for every 10 miles per hour. Works well for me. I also don't care if people cut in front when I'm doing the speed I choose, which is usually about 5 mph over whatever limit.

What have I learned. -In America, if you buy a gallon of milk, they throw in a driving license for $2 extra. -Situations that can easily be avoided shouldn't be avoided at all cost. -It's better to be right, crash and kill someone than acting sensible. -When you're at fault, either drive away and act like nothing happened, lie about it like a scumbag or just blame everybody else. -Always brake check when your feelings get hurt because that's how a princess should behave. -Never use common sense while driving.

Its mostly the ignorance around the physics in play with a semi. Your average car is about 4000 lbs a pick up truck is about 5600 or so. Now Just a Tractor( The Truck isself) weighs in at 28 to 36,000 lbs give or take a couple thousand. A dumptruck empty can easily be 40,000. You average loaded truck is 60 to 80,000 lbs rolling down the highway. Wanna take your car up against that mass? The average weight of a loaded dumptruck by me is 90k I give them all the space they need.

I'm usually really nice to truckers, giving them extra room, letting them in, and taking into account their loads. But there have been times when my eyes started twitching. Like the time a truck got slowed down behind another on a big hill, cut me off to pass, and then couldn't get up any faster and I was stuck going 20 in a 65 for several miles. Not much in the grand scheme of things, but I flicked him off when he no doubt couldn't see me (pretty much the extent of my road rage).

@Kimberly Woodbury I agree, it sucks being in a car watching that while also being stuck behind them. But its a bitch to downshift on a grade, and if we lose turbo boost while shifting, we just lost most momentum and are now doing 10mph or less up a hill. Multiply that by all of the hills on the road, and we can lose much of our valuable government controlled drive time of 11 hours per day.

There are deadlines and hours of service regulations that are more strictly tracked than before which play a part somewhat, but it's no excuse. The REAL reason is the huge influx of new drivers to the industry that just a year ago were Carpenters, or warehouse workers. The ads promise the world and a boat load of money. A few tickets were written that day. Semi driver's dont fare much better. The 4 lane ends and goes to a 2 lane. Car's will speed up to pass the semi and then slow down. I used to drive a 35 foot Class A motor home and drivers treated me the same as they did truckers. Cutting in front with only inches of clearance, passing me then slowing down, flipping me off because I was driving the speed limit in the right lane. Big motor homes don't stop quick and can't change lanes easily!

I can't believe these idiots temp going up against a Hugh Semi loaded or not. I grew up in the Midwest and the truckers know how to drive usually felt safer driving alongside semi trucks. Drive safe and thanks for sharing

could someone please help explain to me what was happening with the clip that started at 2:30? From my perspective, it would appear that the semi driver who's dashcam is recording the clip is the aggressor. The dually seems to be passing without issue until the semi starts flashing their hi-beams at it, and then it starts playing the brake check game.

Pretty sure they're all at fault, lol. They were likely all over the speed limit (assuming its America) so the pickup was flyin'. But I think the transport switched lanes and flashed him because the pickups lights were blinding him. The pickup also seemed to have trouble staying in his lane and didnt seemed to care much for his own or anyone elses safety for that matter.

People who try brake checking a semi should try it on a freight train

You know if it wasn’t for the truck drivers we would have nothing on our Shelves or in the stores or wherever because they are the ones that get the stuff from the warehouse to the stores so show some respect to the truck drivers truly 👍🚛🚚👍🚚🚛👍

I was going west on 40....traffic accident...3 mile backup..left lane closed. Of course no one paid attention. Thats when two truckers blocked both lanes and rode side by side till the site the one let the other in.. Team work!! Otherwise we would have been waiting on those people who went by trying to skip and get in at last minute causing mote traffic..:)!!!👍

The first is just a typical Washington driver. Especially the ones from Crackima. Damn the 2nd one is also right next to me and again a Washington motorist. They had construction right there for over 2.5 damn years!

TRUCKERS: *”THE HIGH-MAINTENANCE DIVA’s OF THE ROAD”* 💄💅🏻 ...They drive 20 under, then complain when they get cut off. They want to be treated as more important than everyone else. Little princesses they all are 🤣🤣🤣

Sometimes I feel like just buying an old semi with a bull bar and wait for someone to do this to me and just plow into them, and then I'll be like, "welp that's your problem, semis can't brake as quickly as you :)"
