While I still prefer George Newbern as insane Sephiroth, I actually think Tyler Hoechlin is a better voice for sane Sephiroth. Even in OG Crisis Core Newbern still sounded pretty sinister when he was supposed to be just having a friendly chat. But Hoechlin does a good job of reminding us that Sephiroth was human once with his softer tone. He was a dork that was somewhat socially inept and didn't have any desire for world domination. Also Hoechlin's overall performance for Sephiroth seems to be improved from Remake and Reunion so I'm pretty happy! Can't wait to see what Rebirth has in store! (Cloud's bat wing from KH1 is in my personal bingo card lol)

I really like Tyler’s portrayal of Sephiroth because I can actually believe he was normal at some point with the way he is portrayed here. As opposed to when I first played Crisis Core on the PSP and everytime Sephiroth spoke I just kept thinking “This guy is so obviously evil, how is no one seeing it?”

Something really cool about Zack's basic combo is that it shares some movements with his yellow Materia moves in Crisis Core! Most noticeable are his use of the Twister and Goblin Punch in his combo. This right off the bat tells me that this game has something for any type of fan of the series and it has me so excited to see more! Kinda funny that despite having such a large and imposing sword, Zack still takes to punching and swinging around concrete in this introduction.

The attention to even some little details in the game so far show the love and dedication of the developers. I mean, you can even see the freaking hair of the infantryman underneath his helmet while on the truck (~ 24:19). That is so amazing. As a viewer of Nico's content over the years I've come to learn just how special Nico's channel is from other youtubers.. I've seen his interaction with the comments, and his ability to really take in every single detail/ dialogue throughout every LP. To be honest before I watched his channel I'd always skip through dialogue in games because I found it boring and not all that entertaining. But what I've seen from Nico is something special. He's always invested in every bit of lore/ inside details that other LP's tend to miss out on, he really does care about what he's doing on a consistent basis. I can see it for sure in this first episode and it is why I think he's the perfect person to experience Rebirth with. I hope this game subverts our expectations, I know the experience wouldn't be better anywhere else... Nico keep doing what you're doing can't wait to see where the penguins go next :)

Crisis Core was actually my introduction to FF7, I had a PSP as my first PlayStation console. My favorite part of the games is the ending when Sephiroth says "it's stabbing time" and goes to stab Aerith only for Zak to come in from the other timeline smack Sephiroth away and says "Dude.... uncool" then Cloud, Zack, and Aerith kick his ass so hard he get launched into game 3.

There was nothing better than spending my afternoon days after school sitting in front of the TV, controller in hand, flipping through like 1000+ pages of walkthrough we printed out from the early days of Internet. That walkthrough was like our version of the official guide and we still have it to this day. edit2: It's gonna be a while until we get there, but I can't wait to see Gold Saucer. Absolutely breathtaking so far. I still can't believe they gave G-bike its own damn section of the floor. I bet it's the same with 3-D Battler and the Submarine and Snowboarding. Mog House seems to be a real location elsewhere? And now I really wanna see if even Slam Dunk has its own basketball court. Like Cloud could LITERALLY be ballin'. My God, the future is beautiful.

Those 3 are my absolute favorite games of all time. ♡ The nostalgia is hitting me so hard seeing this! The animations are crisp, the lines are funny, the story is dark and mysterious and in the middle is Cloud, who is sharing a similar name with me (I FORGOT HIS MUM HAS MY NAME OMG THIS IS AWESOME), who is a bit mean and edgy at the beginning and is feeling lost, but slowly, step by step... he eventually finds to himself again and we grow with him. So fun facts on how they are adding stuff, the workout stuff in Nibelheim was actually something introduced in the Traces of Two Pasts novel in Tifa's chapter, it was started by Zangan when he first arrived to the village and continued by Tifa when he continued traveling. And the way Zangan is looking at Cloud's physique and grabbing his arms is how Zangan knew Tifa had potential, although they made it kinda weird by having him feel up 13 year old Tifa's arms and wanting to see her calves. I wasn't able to play the first game in the remake trilogy when it released and I don't have the console to play this one. But for remake I decided to watch Nico play through the game and his reactions to the first one are the reason I'm back here for the second game

This is were Final Fantasy 7 truly begins. FF7 was one of the first Final Fantasy games i ever played and is my personal favorite so i am incredibly excited for Rebirth.
