The Mario Maker seal of approval level proposition is not impossible but it would be a better task for machine learning, I don't know what type of entities are the graphic objects in Mario Maker 2, but since they must be labeled and their position can be easily tracked, a guess the first two variables to measure are object clustering which reduces mobility and terrain hazard (spikes, pits), enemy unit motion follows terran position so you can couple those in a variable, But there are various things that may need more covariates, since you can make entirely cluttered level with little to no death risk, like a damage boost level or invulnerability sipke ground speed run.

To add to your idea, a user can submit it and receive a badge or a license on the black screen when it starts, if it's good..... but opting NOT to submit it for review should be allowed too. Maybe those badges can come in different colors to show how good the level is, like the usual bronze/silver/gold/rare platinum... or a thumbs up if it's just fine. Opting not to submit should be fine too. It just wouldn't have a badge on its title intro. Besides, it'd give Nintendo staff a break if a fraction of users don't submit anything.

So, I have no idea how you'd implement this, but I love Ryu's idea of having some certification to be able to make a level. It won't stop bad or trolls levels, but I think it could be a positive influence. For example, in World of Warcraft (I played for 14 years, but stopped at the start of Shadowlands), there were these things called Proving Grounds where you have to take your character in there and participate in a challenge for your role. Tank, melee dps, ranged dps, or healer. And you had to achieve at least a silver ranking to participate in Mythic dungeons, or use the group finder for heroic dungeons, or something (I forget the exact specifics cuz I wasn't a scrub, so it didn't gatekeep me). Basically, it helped ensure people that queued under that role had a rudimentary understanding of what they should be able to do. I think they didn't keep it going forward, or maybe scrapped it in a later expansion due to casuals feeling that it made them have to understand the game to play it, and they shouldn't have to, or some BS like that. But for the QoL for the community, it was amazing! Even if you took Ryu's route about scrutiny being given on a level to level basis, you'd have to judge whether you'd keep it level-to-level or just a creator certification. But, definitely it were level-to-level, I think community arbitration would be the best bet. My buddy told me of when LoL had like a community arbitration council to help with reports. And as long as you were in good standing and were a veteran with the game, and actively helped with arbitration, you could help with reports of people afk'ing, trolling, int'ing, flaming, etc. They ended up taking that away, and my buddy doesn't play LoL anymore, but he'd talk about how it was the best thing for the community in a long time.

@@ItApproaches Well, where he'd mentioned there are regular levels, then like vetted levels. Idk, I don't like the idea of ostracizing people, or tiering the content. But I think it's an interesting idea. Similar to my example from the WoW Proving Grounds, it ensures that you have a basic understanding of your role. But levels in MM are so dynamic and can have so many different objectives and themes, that'd be more difficult to fine-tune. I like the idea, though. Just don't have the wherewithal to speak on how it could be implemented =D
