Would you part with you Metals? 🇸🇬 Looking for ideas on how best to store your precious metals? Well Bullionstar Singapore does offers a range of safety deposit boxes within their secure vault. These come in various sizes to suit your needs and an annual subscription fee which you will see in this video.
I thought you would like a preview of these boxes, samples of which are on display at their showroom in Clarke Quay. Now I am not recommending you should store your precious metals with a third party, but if you are looking for options, this might be one for you. Most bullion companies does offer this service so checkout those nearest to you and find out what are the advantages (and disadvantages) of these secure storage solutions.

Another interesting aspect to think about. I personally would not hire a box like that for anything. Letting go of too much control. However, I don't really have something that necessitates a safety box. 🙃🙂

Good look at the box options Send. Bit too pricey for me, but i dont think there are much cheaper options here in Aus either. I remember when i worked in Banking, Branches with bigger Vaults would offer customers the opportunity to bring thier own locked boxes in for storage as safe deposit. I rememeber a lot of different size and quality of boxes in the strongroom.

Wow I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing Phil. I’d I understand from your comment, bank customers have to store their valuables in their own lock boxes before securing them in vault? That would mean there’s a myriad of different boxes in the vault. Must be an accounting nightmare for the staff! 😂 And I agree, rental fees are expensive for these at Bullionstar so those who chose to use this facility must have quite a lot of valuables to store. BullionStar’s can count me out LOL 😂✌🏻

Might be ok ,i dont like the idea of some else being in control of my Metals or collection, not sure but i have heard banks here wont insure the contents os safety deposit boxes and i dont really trust banks much 🤣😂 but maybe that place is good 👊👍

I think you’re right about banks, although I can’t be too sure the procedures Singapore banks follow here with regards to safe deposit boxes. Bullionstar storage option is convenient as you can transfer bullion purchases directly into their storage. Still considering though, the rental fees are expensive and I dun have that much bullion to store in the first place LOL 😂

Bullionstar has a robust storage system, but I dont like the idea of the vault being in the same location as the store. Just my opinion though 😅

Nah, you lose value every year by paying them and you don't have any control over your asset. I'm not sure if it's insured. Here in the states you can get collectors insurance for a small premium and keep it on your premises. Singapore law might have different rules so it might be a good option for you.

Not sure, that was a demo unit in the showroom. I believe the real boxes are located in their vault.

I can't believe how outrageously overpriced those safe deposit boxes are. I almost got one last year at a bank I had an account at for a few months. They were all less than 1/10 those prices for a 1 year rental and they had comparable sizes available except maybe the largest one.

LOL yeah, that’s Singapore for you. Everything’s expensive here. Fees for banks deposit boxes are not much different so its only worth renting one if you have something really valuable to store. Cheers and have a blessed Sunday StG 😊✌🏻

An interesting concept S2G, if I had a worthwhile collection maybe, just not sure I trust a 3rd party with my possessions and if the fee charges overtime make it worthwhile compared to the cost of buying a fireproof safe, same applies to bank safety deposit boxes, thanks for giving the brain cells a workout.
