I lost and kept off 35 pounds and stayed this way for four years now. Cut dairy way down but still crave one glass of milk everyday. Cut out a lot of bread products and just junk. Completely cut out energy drinks and soda. Still have a hard time cutting out coffee though. Drinking my daily water intake that everyone is supposed to do. I also cut red meat from the store out. We eat wild turkey, deer, duck, ext, and forage which is what you seem to do so I don’t think you got much to really change. It’s about finding what works for you and making it part of your everyday life routine. That’s the hard part for me. Good luck, I know you got this! God Bless

Eat what you want and stay active .. all of these programs and products are a waste .. just spend less time doing nothing. Take a hike, ride a bike, grab an ax, find a shovel, mow the yard .. you get the point

The issue is when someone IS doing these things and is still struggling with weight. I agree that fad diets do not work. I hope you stick around to watch Joshes transformation as this is not a fad diet it’s a functional medicine liver detox designed to support the liver in both phase one and two of detoxification. Our liver is our body’s filter and responsible for filtering all the blood in our body. It’s a big job!! Joshes body is ready for a filter change and to open detox pathways so that the next step in his journey builds on top of this step. We understand a root cause approach isn’t for everyone and we are so proud of Josh for being brave enough to take this leap and to share it with his community 👏🏼👏🏼

@@Balanced_Friends if youre active and struggling with weight it is 100% your diet...its simple science, eat less calories than you require and you will lose weight...not some detox bullshit

His knee is busted lol. He just told you. Anyway, “eat what you want” is not the way to a healthy life.

100% agree. If this is not really part of your life routine, it won’t work. Water is so important and staying active, which I believe you do. Don’t over eat or eat junk all the time. Keep it simple.

I made the mistake of stepping on the scale and thinking dang I’d love to lose 20 pounds…welp ended up super sick and lost 30. That was just over 2 months ago. None of my clothes fit lol

Been there before I was 215 lbs in January 2014. Just felt like crap all the time. Lost 30lbs by June. By just basically eating better. Made a huge difference. Good luck! However you will need an extra layer of clothes this winter! You’ll get cold easier!🥶

Dude. Just do borderline carnivore. You will feel and look 100x better and it’s healthy. Make sure you just get plenty of fats. Get ribeyes at Costco and slice them to the needed size

Hardest part is getting back into a groove, especially with kids. You’ll thank yourself in 6 months if you do though.

I love this point! It’s so hard for us as parents to prioritize our wellness with kids because we want to give them ALL our energy but when we make the choice to take better care of ourselves as parents we have MORE ENERGY for our babies. It’s also fun to show our babies healthy habits. As a mama with two small babies your comment spoke to me 🫶🏼

Wow 25 lbs 👏🏼 that’s great! I feel like there is a lot of overlap in what we do at Balanced Friends and the hunting community. There is no better healthier meat than the food you catch yourself 🙌🏼 You are already on the right track. Just keep going! Thanks for your comment. I hope you have fun follow along Joshes journey ✨

So excited for you to watch his wellness journey in preparation for the season 👏🏼 I’m so proud of Josh for taking the leap and giving this a go. We know functional medicine approach isn’t for everyone and often times saying YES is the hardest part of the whole thing 🙃

Good luck! We as Americans have to get back to eating fresh and healthy. The boxed and canned foods at the store have gotten to an unhealthy place. It’s just filler and cheap stuff. What started out to be helpful just made us lazy. Fresh fruits and vegetables are just so expensive and chips and snacks were more affordable and at least the kids get something. It’s really sad and myself and kids have been eating healthier even through the expense for our health.🇺🇸🙏

Such a good comment 🫶🏼 I lived in Germany for 1.5 years and it was very eye opening for me and where my passion for more natural living started. They are so much more aware of toxins and have stricter regulations on their food. Getting to see the difference in their health vs Americans was 🤯

I’m a fellow public land bow hunter, from the same small town. How about the boys basketball team, what a run they had!!! My step son was the point guard! My wife goes to church with you, I’m not originally from here I grew up one county east. Anyway, I’ve been eating mostly carnivore , and I have to say it’s worked 100% for me! I’ve lost weight without working out, aches and pains gone, no more ups and downs in energy levels, and many other benefits, I’ll never go back to the standard American diet, cause I lord willing I hope to be hunting for a long time or until the lord returns. Check out the carnivore diet, it’s all over KZbin. I’m not trying to discredit your sister but people don’t need to spend money to get healthy, don’t get me wrong the transition was tough and maybe that’s where your sister can help with keeping people on track. But once you get past the transition phase and you start to feel greater than you have in years you’ll never want to go back! I’m 45 and my knees would hurt so bad when scouting up and down those public land hills that I didn’t know how much longer I could do this but now I feel like I’m in my 20’s again! So I’m back in the game! Just spent the last two days scouting with these low temps and low humidity, and my knees didn’t bother me one time! Anyway happy hunting!

You will lose a lot more weight by speed walking long distance versus running a long distance. I learned that from dr berg here on youtube. I don't care that he is into scientology, he doesn't discuss it on his channel and he has really good, accurate info. And by not running you won't drop dead of a heart attack, which sometimes can happen if your rhythm gets out of sync. Just make sure you are walking with a purpose and not lollygagging.
