Ive got an 2006 with 147,000 miles on it that my son stole from me when he got his license. The only issue I've ever had was the air suspension so I stripped it out and did shocks and springs. I love that truck and it goes through anything. 29,000 miles is almost unheard of. I'd a bought it to. Hope you get years of fun out of it.

Not something you wanna skimp out on though. I’ve heard the cheaper ones tend to crap out. Sometimes higher price does mean better. A decent one will probably run you at least $300-$400.

@@dy1angi11ey6 You are right about that. I put a Jensen in my wife's Matrix and a Kenwood in my F-150. Both are great, I chose the kenwood over the Jensen for the truck due to availability at the time. Both are wireless and have good standard radio reception too. They were not bad to install and they really freshened up those vehicles.

My first car (which my father let me use while I saved up for my own) had CarPlay and it was really nice but my current car already has Bluetooth so I just bought a phone mount for when I need navigation and it works just fine.

Lexus and Toyota still reminds me of that Japanese golden age in the 70's and early 80's stereo equipment, no one is building turntables and stereo receivers as they did back in the day. The same with cars now but Lexus and toyota in general is a big exception.

Es verdad. Try buying a nice used Toyota. Corolla-Lexus.....there ain't none. I was able to buy a 2007 ES350 in 2011 with 27K miles, but nothing since. Still driving it, along with a 2013 Corolla.

I'm am a toyota/Lexus fan boy as well, but you can't discount the Lincoln towncar! The Panther Platform was tried and true. They are really reliable, incredibly smooth ride, SO MUCH room for passengers plus the trunk is huge. They aren't hot rods but they have enough power to do what a daily needs to do. Thanks to crown vics/town cars/grand marquis sharing the same parts (notable the 4.6 is shared with tons of other vehicles too), most things are easy to locate and cheap to buy when you do need repairs. I have an 88,000 mile 1992 town car, and I plan to drive that car indefinitely, lord willing.

10:12 i keep the engine bay clean using a damp cloth and being very careful with what i touch. then i'll coat the plastic parts with an engine conserver. i'm paranoid of the plastic parts giving in, which i'm sure is still inevitable given enough time.

If you are not wealthy person that wants to run a Luxury oriented car, definitely this Lexus is your choice; but if you are a wealthy person, buy or even better lease from some other brands (Germans, Cadillac, English, etc) with fancier / much technological cars, sell it / return them after couple of years and refresh to latest one. Is a matter of perspective

I did drive a Lexus LS 460 AWD before I bought my 2018 MB S560 4matic. After a few miles on the highway I told the salesman that I was going back to the dealership. If felt cheaply made and was just plain dangerous on the highway. Now with 46k miles and ZERO problems I will never drive anything else, it’s one of safest cars on the road. No rattles, just supremely comfortable drive.

The best I have used the past 25 years is the white rust converter that dries clear on fresh metal. Dries black on rust. Chemical as lt😢😢 is only white and cost no less than $100 ,per gallan. Best product for the money. Ìt is always white, always $100 per gallon, dries black on rust clear on pure metal

Scotty always talks bad about Nissan and CVT transmissions. I agree they have tons of problems. I have two 2018 Nissan rogue with a ton of miles on them. my I changed the transmission fluid every 20,000 miles along with the filters the pan filter I change every 40,000 miles and the cartridge filter I change every 20,000 miles and I used only Nissan CVT transmission fluid. But believe me, I’m never going to buy another Nissan again, even though I’ve had no trouble with any of the Nissans I’ve owned

My girlfriend has a (2009?) Nissan Altima with 200k some miles on it, and yes it has a CVT. I usually drive my car when we’re together but hers still runs pretty well I’d say and hasn’t had any major problems. A big factor is probably that the only other owner(s) were her parents, and her dad takes good care of their vehicles. I’d personally never buy a vehicle with a CVT as someone who likes driving but if you need a car to get from A-B and back they aren’t always terrible.

I've had a simular experience with a 2000 Camry LE. I bought it ASAP with a 2.2 4cylinder engine. It had original 43,315 miles. I payed 5K for it. Sold it to my Ladies Son. He's a Mecahanic. Drives it to work every day. It gets 28 plus mpg. It was a little old ladies car. Those opportunities are out there,don't procrastinate if you know the truth.

is250 don't get great gas mileage to begin with so you probably aren't far off. They also have carbon build up issues which can reduce power and gas mileage. I think that engine also calls for premium so if you are using regular that could also have a small effect.
