I meant to comment about this earlier and forgot Jason, and that is about the spacing between your trees and your next row… How that ended up coming out just perfectly the right amount of 15 feet like you wanted and you were expecting it to be that but you ended up making a few changes and then suddenly there you are with a few extra trees and you had your berm row and you had your raised bed around the trees, So that everything laid out perfectly UNPLANNED 15 feet apart!! THAT WAS A GIFT FROM GOD ABOVE🙏❣️ Now, I believe you when you say that that was a Blessing from God Above Because you DID N0T PLAN IT OUT That way and I love it when things come together in a way that only God can do it😊🙏♥️🌈♥️ he is so awesome and it I always thank him for even the smallest things just like that. In fact I keep a journal of my blessings throughout the day and week and not just write down the big miracles because I think little things like that are just as huge as a big miracle in your life and they are noteworthy to mention to others and they are definitely worth remembering to count our blessings from God. The older I get the more I realize how much he does bless me in my daily activities than I ever realized before. This is so exciting and I know your garden and orchards are going to be SO MARVELOUS😊 in the next three years when they reach a full maturity❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

So much fun to see your gaggle of geese being herded (pretty easily, too!) into the cover crop field! And your orchard! It is gorgeous, the berms gently hugging the slope in that field, it just looks so very very nice. You are going to have so much fruit to pick and process, it's wonderful that the times things ripen are spread out so you're not buried all at one time. Also, I can't wait to see your zinnias blooming, they are my favorite flower! You have inspired me to plant some of my own this year. :) I am so very sorry about AC/DC's passing. What a beautiful rooster he was! Your video tribute to him made me cry. Do you have any chickens from him? I'm so sorry for your family's loss. A/C D/C certainly had an impact on all of us from the Cog Squad. After the hurt he still puts a smile on my face from all of his charm. I wonder if the Flower Farm will be visible from the road. Imagine what a sight that would be for the people driving by! I live in Northern California and have enjoyed such scenery over the years. Entire hillsides of California Poppies, huge bands of test fields on the seed companies farms. The perfect rows of lavender here in the foothills! I wish you could smell those! You are creating a work of art right there on your 40! I'd be happy to be your neighbor!

Such great progress! I've got a tip for Jason, to help measuring longer distances repeatedly: Do like they do in football when they measure downs! Tie a pre-measured light rope or chain between two stakes. So you could tie a 15-foot long rope between two stakes, stick one end next to your planted tree, draw the rope tight down the row and set the second stake to mark your next tree. With two people (one on each stake), you can quickly set flags at each location and leap-frog your way down the entire row. Then it's all measured and marked for digging and planting later, if you don't get to it all in one day. I just have to mention that Roomba is my favorite chicken on your farm. That gal is saavy! I'm so very sad to hear about ACDC. It hard sometimes knowing your birds (or any pets) have such "short" lives. I'm sorry for your loss.

I'm still eating figs from my grandmother's fig trees that are very old but still produce an abundance of figs. Every time I enjoy figs from those trees I think of her. She absolutely LOVED figs!! I surely do miss her and my grandfather!!

The fruit orchard is going to be beautiful when everything blooms! May favorite that you planted is the Gala apples. I use them for pies and crisps and eating in hand. So delicious! Sorry to hear about AcDc. To everything there is a season. He was a beautiful rooster. Just letting you know that as I look out my window at 2 feet of snow (in Ontario Canada) - I live vicariously through you in your temperate climate and chuckle when you say it is cold. Love your humour!

RIP AC/DC. He was the most beautiful rooster I've ever seen. His feathers were magnificent. I know ya'll are gonna miss him tremendously. What breed of chicken was he? The 40 is coming along so well. The orchard is gonna be fabulous. God Bless you all.
