I believe Kuon's second goal (control with chest --> long-range volley) was based off a famous one scored by James Rodriguez against Uruguay during the 2014 World Cup. It won the Puskas Award for the most spectacular goal scored that year. It's a little different because Rodriguez never actually let the ball touch the ground, making it even more impressive. I spotted many homages like this reading the manga; it's cool to see so many references to real life, and equally cool when actual players execute plays so incredible they can be considered "pulling some anime shit."
